God's voice refers to the heavenly or divine voice which proclaims God's will or God's word. One of the greatest benefits of our salvation has to be that of hearing God speak to us personally. There can be no intimate relationship with our heavenly Father without it.
Learning to clearly distinguish God’s voice is indispensable. Instead of going through life blindly, we can have the wisdom of God guide and protect us. If you have sickness or disease, one mighty word from the Lord will instantly heal you. If you are in financial crisis, the Lord knows exactly how to turn your situation around. It’s just a matter of hearing His voice.

The Lord constantly speaks to us and gives us His direction. It’s never the Lord who is not speaking, but it’s us who are not hearing. Jesus made some exhaustive statements about hearing His voice in John 10:3-5, “The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

Notice that He said in verse 3, His sheep hear His voice. He didn’t say His sheep "CAN" hear His voice or "SHOULD" hear His voice. He made the emphatic statement that His sheep" DO" hear His voice. Most Christians would question the accuracy of that statement since their experiences don’t line up. But it’s not what Jesus said that is wrong; all true believers can and do hear the voice of God; they just don’t recognize what they are hearing as being God’s voice.

Radio and television stations broadcast twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week but we only hear them when we turn the receiver on so our failure to hear the signal doesn’t mean the station isn't broadcasting so that is also how God is constantly broadcasting his voice to his sheep, but few are turned on Most Christians are busy doing other things and as well as pleading with God in prayer to talk to them but their receivers are off .

HOW CAN I GET GOD TO TALK TO ME

• Through Prayer and fasting
  Often through a combination of fasting and prayer, our minds become clearer and our hearts are more sensitive to God. Again, we may not hear God’s literal voice, but His Spirit confirms a certain direction or answer for us. As the distractions fade, we can sense His leading in a new way. Sometimes while praying, God’s Spirit will remind us of a Scripture or a truth in His Word that we can directly apply to the situation. sometimes during prayers, we often get visions of what God is trying to tell us so this requires to focus on God when we are praying because the devil tries to divert our minds during prayers.

• Having a quiet time with God
  If you really want to know God and to grow deeper in a relationship with Him, the best way is to have a daily quiet time: A habitual period of time set aside to spend time with God through Bible reading and do not just read the bible like a newspaper but always be sensitive take time to invite the holy spirit to teach you the bible . The bible is our reference book as Christians.

• create an environment for God to talk to you
  Most Christians trap God to talk to them in one direction for example before going to bed we often tell God to speak to us through dreams but God has different ways of communicating to us . This sometimes limits us like God can use a different option but just because we are not sensitive we miss out and also sometimes we ask God to talk to us or after asking God a question we listen to music at very high volumes yet we know God's voice is tender that explains why we often get unclear messages .

CONCLUSION

Christians should build relationships with other Christians. This doesn’t mean excluding those who are not of the same faith from your circle of friends. Rather, a believer in Christ who makes close friends out of those with the same priorities because sometimes when we miss hearing from God then he can talk to someone we are close with to convey the message . A Christ follower should spend daily time reading the Bible, thinking over the message , and praying for ways to make scriptures part of you to fullfill a christian life .
