In recent weeks I have been in a variety of discussions, some calm others not so much, about gender.
It seems to me the secular world is in pursuit to redefine truth, from objective to subjective. A pursuit which appears to have risen from a desire to defend their choices and life, even when those choices chaff against the human experience.
We talk of "my truth" and "your truth", not "the truth". We talk of feelings, not facts.
Why? Because if truth is subjective than no choice is wrong, no life is evil and then we can escape scrutiny and criticism. This evasion is unfortunate.
Shame is undesirable, but social pressure has its place. We guide ourselves and children to goodness and truth by use of social pressures. When my kid writes on the wall, I explain this was "wrong", unacceptable, and explain that I expect better in the future. I do not shame but I do correct.
In 2019 we fear objectivity and so we abandon correction.
Nowhere is this more obvious or perverse than in denial of biology. Increasingly we deny masculine and feminine uniqueness, opting for gender as choice... I sympathize with people who live this way, and desire not their shame, but encourage and pray for their correction.
Genesis 2:20-24 English Standard Version (ESV)
20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam[a] there was not found a helper fit for him. 21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made[b] into a woman and brought her to the man. 23 Then the man said,
“This at last is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called Woman,
because she was taken out of Man.”[c]
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Men and women are not the same, we are wonderfully unique. Each with skills and limitations, each with distinct power and purpose. If we fight subjectivity and embrace this reality our nation and our people will be better off.
With that in mind, here is an excellent video from Matt Walsh which explains cogently his rejection of gender as choice. I agree completely. Please enjoy.
Man I "feel" like a woman
As always thank you for your time and attention. Have an amazing day and God bless.
