LOVE made a way | John 3:16

Setting aside doubts about God's existence for a moment, if God exists then of one additional thing can we be certain: He does love us.

John 3:16 ESV

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Why else...

Why else would we experience love, joy, laughter, the comforts of a warm bath or hot meal? The idea that we might have been created but our creator might be indifferent is foolishness.

Either God does not exist, OR he does, and he loves us.

There is no other way to explain common grace: daily pleasures, friendship, or the love of family.

If he exists he necessarily loves us, or we would cease to be. Why would an fickle, indifferent God, sustain us? He would not.

Praise God: Love made a way...

But the God of the Bible is not fickle or indifferent. He is not distant or false.

He is real, he did create all things and it is by him all things are sustained. So, take heart, for no matter the pain and trial you bear now, take comfort and be renewed by this truth: He stands with you in the suffering.

He became human, suffered and surrendered, was mocked and tortured so He knows the worst of mankind’s sinful judgment and He walks with His people through that fire even now. Where ever you are, he is also. He loves us, he loves you.

Why else send His only Son to pay our debts? Jesus literally lived, died and resurrected, and that changes everything...

My Prayer:

Lord help us understand and accept your loving, mercy and grace. Let us be overwhelmed by the personal involvement, for Jesus you laid down your life to pay our debts.
