Recently I had the news of a friend who won a cause for which he fought for 5 years in court. How many of us live similar situations in various circumstances of life? Waiting for the justice of men or for divine justice?
In the biblical text of Genesis 15 where God makes an alliance with Abraham:
Then the Lord gave him the following answer: "Your heir will not be that, a son generated by yourself will be your heir." Lifting him out of the tent, he said: "Look at the sky and count the stars, if you can tell them" And he went on: "So shall his seed be." Abram believed in the Lord, and that was credited to him as righteousness (Genesis 15: 4-6 NIV).
What I want to emphasize is the end: And that was credited as justice. It means that God would be faithful with Abraham and correspond to his faith. When the son of the promise was born, it would be proven that the word of the Lord was true, although circumstances and people said otherwise because Abraham and Sara were not so new. But it happened according to the promise that God had made and Isaac was born.
Noah's faith in the word of God led him to build an ark in a place where no one ever imagined there was enough water to float that ship. But he believed and was credited with justice, that is, while the rest of the world was shipwrecked in his unbelief, Noah and his family floated aboard the Ark.
If people call you crazy today because you take your faith seriously, I encourage you to get up from the store, look at the stars and contemplate the future.
Bill Hybels says that "vision is an image of the future that brings you passion." Therefore, take possession, create, fall in love with the promises of the Lord for your life. And if you believe and are faithful, you will also experience the righteousness of God, so that the world knows that the word of the Lord is true and that our God is an honest, faithful and fulfilling Father.
Do not waste more time. Position yourself and stop delaying God's promises for your life, behaving inappropriately. Be brave, take radical measures and do not be afraid of what he says, because God is with you!
