“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” – 1 Timothy 6:6.
To be content means you are at peace or satisfied with what you have or where you are per time. You don’t covet anybody’s possession. To be content is to be grateful to God – you appreciate God for every stage in your life. “Until you learn to be content in life, God will never multiply what is in your hand” (Rev. Eastwood Anaba).
Paul said in Philippians 4:11-12 ~ “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.”
Learn to adapt in every situation and through the different seasons of life. Be thankful to God for the “Manna” in the wilderness before you get to “Canaan”. Ungrateful people are discontent. Such people always ask: ‘What can I do with the little I have?’ But, we must remember that every little thing has the potential to grow.
One time, Jesus saw a great multitude coming towards Him and He asked Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” Andrew answered and said, "There's a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?"(John 6:9, NLT). Jesus made the people sit and the bread was multiplied to feed them. Be content for God is always doing something new.
Knowledge and insight in the word is a solid foundation to a christian faith. Thanks for sharing with us .
