In the christain race, God doesn't not promise a believer a trouble (trial) free life. There is bound to be trial, temptations (un–resistable situations), difficulties and challenges. The way we handle this trials and temptation matters alot.

James 1:1-3

1: James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2: My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3: Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

From the scripture reference, counting it all joy means that when we are reviled or evil spoken in the process of carrying out our personal assignment concerning God's will, instead of being sorrowful, we should be happy .

The bible make us to understand that trials produce patience (james 1:3). So because of this, we should understand that the proving and testing of our faith is to enable us produce a character which is patience that is able to endure trials. Knowing that trials are a test to determine if one faith is genuine, the trying of christain faith in a beleiver is a chance for ones faith to be strenghted and proved.

1 peter 1:6-7

6: Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Therefore, trial brings out the best in us and the helps an individual to remain steadfast.

In conclusion, the bible says that as a man thinks in his heart, so he is. the key to your joy or hapiness is yourself. We should learn to guard our heart with all diligence because out of it flows the issues of life . Having faith in God that he is working it all out for our good will make us very joyful in trials and tribulation.
