Greetings my dear brothers and friends of Steemchurch, infinite blessings for all, today's topic is fascinating for me I have been sharing it for a long time almost daily with my brother and husband @emiliocabrera, because I want to be the protagonist of a great revival as well as they lived it, Evan Roberts, in Wales England, and Jonathan Edwards, among others.

I want to ask a few questions and I am interested that in the comments you will leave me your valuable opinion:

Are you satisfied with the economic situation that the countries of the world face? Are you satisfied with the financial administration of our country, with the inequality in the distribution of pay among the workers? Agree with the political corruption in the world and in our beautiful Venezuela? Are you happy with the pornographic invasion to which the media submit us? Are you satisfied with the commitment to God of your Church? Are you satisfied with the level of relationship between your family members? Are you satisfied with your level of spirituality?

Habakkuk was so little and, therefore, I pray to God asking for a solution to this crisis, a great revival. What is revival? What are your brands?

The prophet Habakkuk is experiencing a period of great military crisis in Judah before the imminent invasion of Babylon, and also of social, economic and religious order, that is, economic and legislative corruption, injustice, immorality, violence, crimes, idolatry. Is this familiar to you?

Habakkuk was unhappy with Judah's situation, as well as with God's apparent indifference. He learned that God was not apathetic to crises and that the solution to this sad national, political, social, family and religious picture was a great revival.

A REVIVAL

  • It is not a program programmed by the Church, it is a sovereign and free work of the Holy Spirit.

  • It is not doctrinal change.

  • It is not liturgical change.

  • It is not only hatching of spiritual gifts and manifestation of signs and wonders.

  • It's not a fad, they happen.

  • It is not an isolated spirituality.

  • It is not, simply, an evangelization campaign.

FUEL:

It is giving life to something that is already dead or is going through a process of mortification; it is to have God closer and to be closer to God (intimacy). REVIVAL is the intervention of the life of God in the funeral history of man.

REVIVAL IS MARKED BY A DEEP AND CONSISTENT GOD RETURN

  • "I heard your word and I feared ..." (Hc 3: 2) In the revival, God creates in man, intensely desire to hear the Word.

  • It is not just hearing, but "giving ears", practicing the Word.

  • King Jehoshaphat went through a revival when he heard and practiced what God told him (1 Chronicles 20: 14,15)

  • Faith comes by hearing and the righteous will live by faith (Rom 10:17, Acts 2: 4)

  • The fear of God is the fuel for the miraculous action of God (Acts 5: 11,12)

REVIVAL IS MARKED BY THE ACTION AND INTERVENTION OF GOD IN HISTORY

  • "Revive, O Lord ..." (Ac 3: 2). Revival is God's sovereign action, it can not be manufactured by man. Example: Elijah and the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18: 22-46)

  • He acts and changes the story (Lk 7:11 a 17)

REVIVAL IS MARKED BY THE RESPONSE OF GOD TO THE HEART SEDIENT

"The revival of God is for the crown of his creation: man and woman made in his image and likeness.

  • The prophet was crying out for revival with a thirsty heart (Jer 33: 3 / Sl 51:17 / Isaiah 44: 3 / II CRO 7:14)
God promised to give the Holy Spirit to whom he would cry (Luke 11:13)

REVIVAL IS MARKED BY THE INTENSIVE MANIFESTATION OF GRACE AND THE PRESENCE OF GOD

Evan Roberts - The Welsh Revival - Great revival

"Wales, 1904, happens one of the most shocking and disturbing events in the history of the Church." For almost thirteen years a young man was praying insistently for revival, his life was to seek God every day, when other young people his age they were distracted by the things of this earth, he had his mind and heart set in heaven, his name was Evan Roberts, and one day he told his closest friend: "We are going to see the most powerful revival that Wales has ever known, and the Holy Spirit is coming now, we must be ready, we must go all over the country preaching, do you think God can give us one hundred thousand souls now ?! "In six months a hundred thousand souls came to Christ."

  • In revival we face the sanctity of God and our sinful nature. At this moment, God manifests his infinite grace upon us.
God manifests himself so intensely that we are clothed with his glory (Mt 17: 1,2)

Habakkuk learned that God is not inert in the face of the crises of life. God is present and wants to intervene in our history, causing transformation in all areas of our life. Revival is our deepest and most definite need, as it is also the most ardent desire of the heart of God for the present times. We will pray for a great revival and God will respond with a glorious and powerful manifestation of His presence, transforming nations, countries, churches, families and ourselves.

good message @lorennys. Revival is an essential part of our spiritual life, we must always grow in all areas. The Habacub prophet cried out to God, saying: "Revive your work in the midst of time." and he believed God and saw his glory.
