Greetings parishioners of beloved steemchurch today I just want to share a short reflection that tells us about the importance of prayer and how God meets our needs when we believe and surrender to Him.
After raising a prayer to heaven to the God of glory, to the powerful a poor lady, entered a store, approached the owner known for his rude manner, and asked him to trust some provisions. She explained that her husband was very sick and could not work and that he had seven children to feed. The store owner mocked her and asked her to leave his establishment.
Thinking about the need of her family, she implored: "Please, sir, I will give you the money as soon as I have ...", to which she replied that she had no credit or account in her store. Standing at the counter next door, a client attending the conversation between the two approached the owner of the store and told him that he should give what that woman needed for her family on her own. Then, the merchant spoke half-reluctantly to the poor woman: "Do you have a list of groceries?" "Yes," she replied. "Very well, put your list on the scale and how much it weighs you, I will give you food." The poor woman hesitated for a moment and, with her head curved, took a piece of paper from the bag, wrote something and placed it gently on the scale.
The three were admired when the plate of the scale with the paper lowered and remained below. Completely surprised with the scale marker, the merchant slowly returned to his client and commented replied:
"I can not believe that" The client smiled and the man started to put the grocery store on the other side of the scale.
As the scale of the balance did not balance, he continued placing more and more provisions until nothing else would fit. The merchant stood there for a moment looking at the scale, trying to understand what had happened ... Finally, he took the piece of paper from the scale and was surprised, it was not a shopping list but a prayer that He said: Lord, the Lord knows my needs and I am leaving this in his hands ... "The man gave the goods to the poor woman, in the most complete silence, who thanked and left the store. He said: "It's worth every penny ..."
"GOD SAYS: - I WILL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEEDS." (Philippians 4:19)
Thank you, Sister Lorennys, for these words that bring you a story, we need to maintain a life of prayer and communion with God. Our world, our people, our family, expect us to pray for them
