Seraphim

The word "seraphim" (the singular is "saraph") is probably a translation of "someone fiery (with fire)" and is probably derived from the image with fire most often associated with the presence of God.

Ezekiel 1:27: "Then I saw what looked like their backs and up, something like shining metal that looked like fire inside of it all around, and in what looked like its back and down I saw something like fire, and there was a glow around him

The seraphim praise the three times holy God:

Isaiah 6: 2-3: "Above Him there were seraphim; each one had six wings: with two they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet and with two they flew. And one another cried out, saying: Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is full of [d] his glory."

Cherubim

They are represented with wings, feet and hands; but they are also described as having two faces, and even four faces:

Ezekiel 41:18: "And he had sculpted cherubim and palm trees; a palm tree between cherubim and cherub, and each cherub had two faces."

Footnotes:

Ezekiel 41:18 Lit., facts, and so on the remainder of chap.
Ezekiel 10:21: "Each one had four faces and each one four wings, and there was a likeness of man's hands under their wings."

They are considered as the angels who keep sacred things

The path of the tree of life

source

Genesis 3:24: "So he expelled man; and to the east of the Garden of Eden he put cherubs, and a flaming sword that turned in all directions, to guard the way of the tree of life."

They were on the mercy seat

Exodus 25:19: "You shall make a cherub on one end, and a cherub on the other end; in one piece with the mercy seat you will make the cherubs at their two ends."

They were embroidered on the curtain of the sanctuary and on the walls of Solomon's temple

Exodus 26:31: »Make a curtain of purple cloth, blue cloth, red cloth, and fine linen cloth. He orders that an artist borders on two cherubs."

2nd Chronicles 3: 7: "He also overlaid the house with gold: the beams, the thresholds, its walls and its doors; and he carved cherubs on the walls."

Archangel

The word "archangel" is not found in the Old Testament; nevertheless, Miguel and Gabriel are mentioned as archangels, both in the Old and in the New Testament:

The archangel Michael

Daniel 8: 15-26gr9: 21-27
Jude 1: 9: "But when the archangel Michael contended with the devil, quarreling with him over the body of Moses, he did not dare to pronounce a curse judgment against him, but said: The Lord rebuke you" (Read also, 1st Thessalonians 4:16).
Like a messenger angel of God: In the same way as Gabriel does, Michael is also a messenger of God.

As one of the main princes or great prince

Daniel 10:13: "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia opposed me for twenty-one days; but behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, and I remained there with the kings of Persia."

Daniel 12: 1: "At that time Michael will rise up, the great prince who is on behalf of the sons of your people ..." (Read, Daniel 10:21)

It also acts in battle

Revelation 12: 7: "Then there was a great battle in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought "(Read also, Daniel 10:13, 21; 12: 1).

The Archangel Gabriel

As a messenger angel of God

Daniel 8:16: "And I heard a man's voice among the banks of the Ulai, who shouted and said: Gabriel, explain to him the vision."

Luke 1: 11-20, 26-38 ("26:" In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee, called Nazareth. "
Gives understanding and wisdom to God's order

Daniel 9: 21-22: "I was still speaking in prayer, when the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, came to me as at the time of the evening sacrifice. 22 And he made me understand, and spoke with me, saying, Daniel, now I am gone out to give you wisdom and understanding."
