When talking about something being imperative, we mean that which must be done, it is obligated. There's nothing more in this life that can build marriage than the words of grace of God. He is a strong builder, who can fence around in order to prevent any breaking in by external forces.
When making God and the word of His grace to build you, loving your partner will not be a problem or challenge. When God is involved in your marriage, He'll be the one superintending your life, seeing you and whatever you have.

(2). Killing the killer of Marriage:

This is selfishness. Every couple must be up and doing in making sure that the killer of marriage is totally destroyed. This is a very powerful tool in the hand of the devil, that makes you think about only yourself. You must think about your spouse. Selfishness produces pride and antagonism, setting in every other evil thought.

(3). Emotional Intelligence:

Marriage has to do greatly with emotions. You must have emotional intelligence. Because lack of this will make your spouse to be nonchalant and lackadaisical about performing his/her conjugal rights. There must be that understanding and openness to tell when your husband's or wife's face is not straight, then you can be able to offer solutions to any kind of problem or challenge he or she may face at that moment. Be open and be transparent to each other. At this point of openness, whenever the devil tend to appear in order to cause destruction, you will always overcome.

(4). Avoid Bitterness:

You must love each other and never attempt to hold grudge against each other.
