Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
As far as I can tell there is no bible verse that calls Jesus the “Great Physician”, but the theme is surely evident by reading the Bible. There is reference to Him as Physician and then it was from His Own Words. Jesus said, “If you seen the Me, you have seen the Father” Also, “The things I do are what I have seen the Father do. Jesus never turned away anyone that was sick. He never sent them home saying God was teaching them something. He healed because it is in the very Nature and Name of God to Heal. It is His Will.
Healer of
- Broken Hearted
- Deliver the Captive
- Recovery of sight to the blind
- Set free those that are bruised
Not just healing of our bodies, but Spirit, Soul and Body. Completely while in every way. This is why He is called the “Great or Greatest Physician “
Even when the diagnosis is incurable, He can and will cure.
My Thoughts
The bible says that “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever”. He is still the Greatest Physician and I have witnessed many times the incurable cured. I have experienced this miracle in my own body. As an ex druggy, alcoholic, angry and suicidal man, I have experienced this healing in more than my body, but also mentally, emotionally.
Thank you for stopping by and joining me in my cyber living room to study the Bible
