THE DUALITY OF WEALTH(a blessings and a curse)

Good morning fellow steemians and parishioners of the steem church and Sir Knight who has ever been a great representative of this great platform, I hope this message finds you all in good health and spirit.

source The effect of wealth is something most of us never worry about because we don't think it matters being wealthy which is a gift from God could either help our course to salvation or repel us from our journey of eternal life, there are many instances in the Bible where people lost sight of the kingdom of God as results of wealth acquired. In the Bible a wealthy ruler came to Jesus seeking salvation

LUKE 18:23 "and when the man heard he was very sorrowful for he was very rich"

We should not let our wealth hinder us because they LORD gave us to honor him that's  why the Holy book said honor thy lord with your substance, but as humans we tend to be carried away by things of the world ,seldomly making our wealth a means to everlasting doom, it's no surprise that it's like this because the Bible even acknowledge it.

source People become so pompous and proud by virtue of their possessions and those who don't have money and all other possession are going into many dubious ventures to obtain wealth and for the few who got their wealth legitimately and seek the kingdom of God first before pursuing carnal things later backslide from their ways because of the power of money and will say it's by their own might they possessed their wealth

DEUT 8:17 "And thine say in thine heart , my power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me wealth"

Brethren this is not an essay or a write-up to fill spaces just for the sake of writing, the average desire of every person is to be successful and for some to also do the will of God but we must know in our pursuit for wealth that we have to brace ourselves to be able to control when we are eventually blessed with it. We have to fortify ourselves with the word of God and admonish one another and ourself because "we live in the world but not of the world".

Jesus Christ told his disciples in his infinite wisdom

Matt 19:23 "then said Jesus unto his disciples verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of Heaven "

It's also stated in psalm 49:6 "They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in multitude of the riches "
.Above all this is it good to pursue wealth?. The answer is yes, because the Lord is the maker of all good and perfect things. It all depends on how we serve him with our wealth which determines if our wealth would be a blessing to us or a curse.

DEUT 8:18 "But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth…”(from amplified version) , which further butress the point that thy lord gives us wealth.

I pray you'll get the spirit of understanding.
