NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

Greetings to children of God, how are we doing and hope we're enjoining God's love as usual. I bring you greetings from the throne of grace and from the special love of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

I will love to share a little word of exhortation to the entire members of @steemchurch but before we proceed, let's say a word of prayer.

Our heavenly Father, the one and only true God we bless your only name, we say may you be praised forever and ever in our lives, In Jesus name Amen. As we proceed to learn from you, secure our hearts from wrong teachings of the gospel and let us continually learn from your throne of grace, in Jesus name we have prayed, Amen.

Let's look at what 2cori. 5:17 has to say concerning new life in Christ.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Many Christians are still tormented by memories of the past life they lived and this has brought so much pain, sorrow, futility, condemnation, frustration, lack of trust, unforgiveness, bitterness and suspicion. They have refused to let go and satan is having a field day over their lives. Satan is aware of such weakness so he uses the past mistakes to torture, trap and torment us from moving forward in life, both spiritually and physically. The devil's greatest weapon against us is our past. Suffice it to say that some Christians still say “may be it is my past sin that is tormenting me”. The above scripture made it clear that if one is in Christ, he/she is a new creature, old things are passed away and everything has become new. God has declared us righteous because of what Jesus did on the cross. Christ came to reveal God's love, mercy and grace to us. There is no more condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.

Beloved, walk in the newness of the Spirit of God and do not give room to the devil to hold you in bondage and reduce you to wretchedness. You are a totally new person renewed after God's image.

THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL

Text: Rom.1:16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The Gospel is the spoken word of God and God's word is God himself. The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and mended our broken relationship with God. Jesus is the Saviour who came to save us from the penalty of sin, the power of sin and the yoke of satan through faith in Him and the Victory He won through His death on the cross, burial and resurrection.

Thus believers have the ultimate Victory over the world, sin, flesh and satan. In the above scripture, Apostle Paul realised that on any given day he could be arrested and imprisoned. He and his fellow believers were weak and vulnerable but the gospel they proclaimed was “the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes”. This salvation includes deliverance from the penalty and bondage of sin through faith in Jesus Christ. It also provides membership into God's family and everlasting life. All freedom, all transformation is wrought by the power of the gospel. Beloved, no one has the power to forgive our sins, Change our life and give us eternity of blessedness and no one can truly be saved without receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Sayiour.
The full manifestation of God's abundant grace lies in the full content of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Acts 20:32).
