Hi my fellow steemains, I believe you were blessed with my topic of love and freedom yesterday? Am here for you today, and as the spirit has led me, I want to talk about the war of #ARMAGEDDON.
The word Armageddon which was translated to Greek from Hebrew has been known to have only appeared once in the Greek New Testament.( har məgiddô (הר מגידו)) meaning a mountain or range of hills.
WHAT IS THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON?
Today, majority have gone astray from the basic truth of the Bible in the aspest of finding out the true meaning or what the battle of Armageddon is and also where it will take place too. So many of us have been made to believe that the battle of Armageddon is a physical battle, maybe between isreal and some others like Iran, Russia, or Syria. And aslo some of us are aslo being decieved by the modern hollywood movies that explian Armageddon as some natural disaster, maybe we should expect an asteriod to hit the earth or somthing of that nature.
Now what is the battle of Armageddon going to look like, or what is it going to be? We cannot abstain fromthe truth. Therefore, neither of the above are right.
From my study on ISREAL IN THE END TIME, i have learnt literally that Isreal is not going to be the main focus of the end time prophecy. And Armageddon which seems to be some extreme natural disaster, to me i think is just not Biblical!
So many Christians today who are looking to the Israel as a nation for the fulfilment of the end times prophecy, fail to realize that Isreal has got a conditional promise which is keeping the comandment of God. And they have to also accept Jesus Christ as thier Lord and saviour.
Let's go to the Bible and see.
1 Kings 9:6-7
But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: 7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people.
During the reign of Daniel the prophet. God set a dealine for the Jews toput an end to thier rebelious attitude against the commandment of the Lord and accept Christ as thier saviour. which was over 490 years(70 weeks of Daniel). But did they do this? No. (Acts 7) the 490 years prophecy came to an end at the the period when Apostle Stephen was being stoned to death, then Isreal were no longer God's chosen people.
We all know thatthe people who comes to christ are known tobe the people of God.(chosen people). (Romans 9:6-8),(Romans 2:29)(Galatians 3:28). Jesus also made us to understand something by himself....
Therefore I say unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
(Matthew 21:43)
and "Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. (Matthew 23:38)
How much clearer do we need the bible to explian this.
We will never get the truth if we keep our attention or focus on Isreal as a Nation to fulfil the coming of christ or the end of the world.
Jesus said that a time will come that the people of god will worship him in spirit and in truth.
Revelation 16:12-21
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great
The word Armegeddon is not a literal place in any part of the word.
I told you the the meaning at the begining of the topic.
You can aslo recall the saying in ephesians about the battle we are in..
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
In concluding this,the day you became a christian,everybattle of yours tendto be spiritual battle, because our enemy which is satan, is a spirit.
But the bible has said that we battle not against forces that are physical but against the spiritual. And revelation also said that the last battle unto human would be a physical battle. It seems confusing right?
But remeber that our God is not the aurthor of confussion.
Satan has seen all this this. And therefore he is fighting hard and mustering all his forces which will colide with the battle of Armageddon. This battle will be the final battle of satan upon the people of God in all part of the World. Remember it's going to be in all part of the World.
So my friends,brothers,sisters, let's not forget the part God has set for us to follow.
Lets seek our salvation with fearand trembling. becuause it is closer than we think.
Lets allow Christ into our heart and God will bless us all.
