BIBLE TEXT:-Luke 6:39-49; Matthew 7:17-18

Luke 6:39-49 36.And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

1. The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

2. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

3. Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

4. For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

5. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

6. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

7. And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

8. Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

9. He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

10. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

MEMORY VERSE

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bring forth good things:and an evil man out of the evil treasure of the heart bring forth evil things. (Matthew 12:35)

INTRODUCTION

Every action is first conceived in the heart ♥ before birthed out (Luke 6:45). We are the sum total of our thoughts. A change in the life of a person can only occur when the heart is change and the mind renewed. The change and transformation starts from within and then must be visible outside. You can't give or deliver that which you don't have for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth will speak.

I was really blessed going through topic "INSIDE OUT" during our usual Thursday NCCF Bible study. A lots of people try to deceive people hiding under pretence to make people think they are good but they are all lies. You can never be bad and pretend to be a good person, a day is coming God almighty will expose your real person in the physical for the whole world to see. Let quickly check what the book of Matthew has to say about that kind of attitude.

Matthew 7:17-18. 17. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

1. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

No, one can hide from Jehovah omnipresent. Haha, expect you can hide behind your little finger. What we feed our heart matters alot, because from the resources we have within we speak out. If you fill your heart and mind with garbage, in return garbage you will get. Just like GIGO (garbage in garbage out). God so much program the heart of man that it is what you feed it will be reflected in your mind. Let transformation take it root in your life. Change for the better

CHARACTER DISPLAY BY UN-RENEWD MIND

1. Hatred :-(Genesis 27:41). We saw how Cain kill him brother just because of hatred. Hatred is a spirit, it consume it victim just like wildfire and at the end it destroys them. Hatred is never a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

2. Conspires evil :-(Genesis 27:18-20). Because of the dream of Joseph his brethren conspire to kill him. I have never see a conspirator of evil and backbiters progress, they are always at the back.

3. Hypocritical lifestyle:-(Matthew 15:7-9). Hypocritical people are the best deceiver with honor in the world. They can pretend for people to love them which they are not. They Bible scripture emphasis on hypocritical people who draw near to God with their mouth but their heart is Far from God. What a wicked and perverse generation we live

4. Full of the work of the flesh :-(matt15:18-19,Galatians 5:19-21,matt 5:28). A man with an un-newed mind is always full of the work of the flesh. They always desire to do the will of their father the devil at all time, such as lying, stealing, backbiting, fornicating etc.

HOW TO EXPERIENCE CHANGE FROM THE INSIDE OUT

For everyone who desire a great change to have a new walking with God. Follow the following steps.

1. Repentance :-(2 cor 7:9-10;Acts 17:30). Genuine repentance is the right approach to have a walk with God. Repent from all your evil ways, forsake and forget about them. For the time of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every to repent.(Acts 17:30)

2. Sanctification :-(2 cor 6:14-18;John 17:17;). After a genuine repentance God demand from us to come out among them. Meaning never to do or pattern our lives to the way the people in the world do or see things. Letting the spirit man takes to control of our life in totality.

3. Renewal of mind. (Romans 12:1-2). Let our focus and attention be on God. Let always watch the things we feed our spirit man. The kind of music we hear, movies we watch narrow down to the kind of books we read. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth soeaketh.

4. Constant study of the world :-(2 Timothy 2:15). The scripture advice and admonish us to study our self approved of God. God told Joshua never to allow the book of the go out of 🏥 mouth bit to meditate on it day and night. (Joshua 1:8)

5. Fellowship with the right company :-(1 cor 15:33;11:1;Phil 3:17). Evil communication corrupts good manners. And iron sharpeneth iron. This are all common Bible verse, we should always associate our self with brethren of the same believe for spiritual growth in life.

6. Making the word your lifestyle :-(Romans 2:13;James 1:22;luke 6:46-49). Let our life preach what we say and believe. We should allow the word sharp us into an instrument in the hands of the master God.

7. Constant guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23;23:19). Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are issues of life. The devil is after the heart and soul of mankind. Never allow him steal your or any one around you. The book of James said he move like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour. God is our strength.

CONCLUSION

Undoubtedly, the heart is the engine room of a man where both positve and negative thoughts and imagination proceed from. (Luke 6:39-49). It is expedient that we guard our heart with all diligence (proverbs 4:23). May Holy Spirit help us to guard our heart and enable us to be productive from within in Jesus name.
