Warm greetings to the members of the STEEMCHURCH community, am really grateful to the pioneer of this great movement-SIRKNIGHT he is a blessing to all members of steemchurch
Going down Memory Lane we would realize that many members in the steemchurch community has been writing more of spiritual activities in the Christain life....
But we should also understand that the physical activity of a through believer of the Gospel is very important .
Because when we portray good character
Our neighbors will envy our religion .
On this note I will be enlightening the community about the dangerous effects of procrastination and it's major setback in our life
#what is procrastination
Procrastination can simply be define as delay,
but not all delay is procrastination. Procrastination is a very special type of postponement,it means puting off intentionally the doing of something that should be done
Procrastination is when you planned or felt that you should have done the thing earlier, and then delayed anyway. In short, it is putting off despite expecting to be worse off.
We all should know that Procrastination never won a race, received a promotion or changed the outcome of any situation.”
There is no value to procrastination ,according to a great man
"Procrastination has always been a problem with people and in some instances it has cost people their lives and even won battles for people. For example an incident from the American Revolution illustrates what tragedy can result from procrastination. It is reported that Colonel Rahl, commander of the British troops in Trenton, New Jersey, was playing cards when a courier brought an urgent message stating that General George Washington was crossing the Delaware River. Rahl put the letter in his pocket and didn't bother to read it until the game was finished. Then, realizing the seriousness of the situation, he hurriedly tried to rally his men to meet the coming attack, but his procrastination was his undoing. He and many of his men were killed and the rest of the regiment was captured"
##What is the biblical insight of Procrastination
Attimes procrastination is the result of laziness and the Bible is totally against laziness
The Bible made us to understand in proverb 12:24 "The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute."
The Bible says that when it comes to some things, we should never delay. Jesus taught that reconciling with an offended brother should be done immediately upon our remembrance of the situation
Matthew 5:23-24
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought r against thee; [24] Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Christians must not procrastinate when it comes to sharing the gospel with the lost. There is no time to waste. Jesus likened evangelistic efforts to a man inviting people to a great banquet.
As he sent out his servants with the invitations, he said, “Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame” (Luke 14:21). The most striking qualities of the invitation is the URGENCY (GO OUT QUICKLY) .
