Peace be unto you all Parishioners of Steemchurch!!! It has been a great day God has made, let us be glad and rejoice. Amen!
Once again, it is my pleasure sharing with you on the title "Harvest."
The word 'harvest' has its root meaning from the Greek word "Therismos" "to reap." It is used to refer to "the act of harvesting." The harvest in the Biblical days varied according to the natural conditions but usually took place about the middle of April. It lasted for seven weeks and was a time of great rejoicing and feasting over God abundance.
Today, the 'harvest' season is when we sow our seeds and expect fruition of what we planted. It normally takes place when the year is coming to a close-from November to December. During 'harvest' season, we plant seeds from our finances for the development of the work of God.
Just as there is a season to sow, there is a season to harvest. The size and the type of seed you put into the ground will determine the quantity and the type of fruit you will harvest. There are basic principles of the harvest. Principles are abound to be followed; failure to follow the principles will not yield the required expectation. There are no short- cuts.
God's Master Plan is based on some definite clear- cut, unchanging laws which God has set in motion in the universe. Observing and obeying these laws makes it possible for the children of God to know in advance that certain things will happen in their lives.
Law One: We Reap What We Sow- Genesis 1:11
"Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plant and trees on the land that bear fruit with seeds in it, according to their various kinds."
The law is simple, you harvest what you plant. For example you cannot., harvest maize when you plant rice, because like produces like or like begets like. God programmed the system that plants should produce their likeness. During creation, God commanded that the fruit tree should yield fruit after its kinds.
Life is filled with choices. What you choose affects your life as well as others directly or indirectly, like begets like. This has been God's Eternal design from Genesis 1:11.
The word of God warns us that, be not be deceived, God is not mocked for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reaps.(Gal. 6:7).
God has given us the free will to choose whatever we want to harvest. If a person sows iniquity or wrong, the person will reap troubles and sorrow.
"If you sow the seeds of injustice, disaster will spring up, and your oppression of others will end. (Proverb 22:8)
Law Two: One Seed Planted Multiplies When Grown-The Law of Multiplication
Psalm 126:6.(KJV)
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him."
The harvest yield is always greater than the seed planted. If this werenot the case, no farmer would ever plant. If one got back what he was germinated on the ground, he would be on the losing end and spend his life in utter futility.
Reaping more than we sow is fundamental to the laws of harvest and this is not just true for the agricultural sector, it is true for nearly every aspect of life. That is why God advises his children to sow: "Except a corn of wheat falls unto ground and dies, it remains alone: but if it dies, it bring forth much fruit." (John 12:24) One seed planted gives back abundance, but the warning is that what is planted has much efffect on you and other people.
Hosea 8:7
" For they sow the wind, and they reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads, it yields no grain. Should it yield, strangers would swallow it up."
According to the Law of harvest, one seed planted yields more seeds. It has been proved scientifically that, a seed of maize planted produces seven hundred and then eight hundred other kernels.
John 12:2
"The seed prossesses within itself the ability to multiply. Seed multiplies seed. Jesus said it right, " Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone, but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit."
Law Three: We Reap a Bumper Harvest When It Is Planted On a Fertile Land
Seed planted in a cultivated, fertilized, well watered field will produce a bumper crop. A seed that fall on unprepared ground will be lost(Haggai1:6)
HAGGAI 1:6(KJV)
"Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages [to put it] into a bag with holes."
"Cast your bread upon the waters for you shall find it after many days."(Eccles 11:1)
Many people are sowing the seed, but on the wrong field such as lottery, alcoholic beverages cigarettes, fornication etc.
Some Christians are planting alright but on unprepared or unfertilized land and as a result having nothing from their labour. The Prophet Haggai advised Christians to plant their seeds on prepared lands, because those who put the viable seeds on the unprepared area will lose their seed and energy.
We should remember that when we seed in a right business and we shall surely reap in success." We should be careful at where and what we spend our money on. Is such business promoting the Kingdom business or is it promoting the well-being of other people?
Since, we are responsible of what God has entrusted to our care, we will be responsible also for where we send our money or what we spend our money on.
For everything is opened before the Lord, so as Christians we should be mindful of what we give to God as harvest. Amen!!!
God has deposited some talents and qualities in every man, the question is are you using yours to the perfection ways of GOD...? Thanks @ppongk for such an informative post.

God has his own way of multiplying the little seeds we sow to make it abundant. All that we need to do is sow something and God will determine the harvest. God bless u
