When unbelievers get saved, it is our responsibility to disciple them into maturity. Below are the tips on how to go about this.

Continually Pray For Spiritual Growth ....Colossians 1 vs 9-12 says;

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

As seen above, there is absolute need to keep praying for the continous growth in the faith of those who we have just newly won for Jesus. Most times, these people hear the good news and really because there is no follow up on them, they tend to go back to their old ways. But if we minister to them and they repent, we have to constantly keep praying for the salvation of their souls.

Ensure They Join A Bible Believing Church

Hebrews 10 vs 25 says;

not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Likewise, once we have won new souls to the Kingdom of heaven, there is still need to sustain them in faith by either introducing them to your own place of worship or fellowship or by making sure they join a very good Bible believing church of their choice where their faith will not dwindle.

Regularly Visit Them

Acts 15 vs 35 says;

But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, where they and many others taught and preached the word of the Lord.

The scripture above can be interpreted by saying Paul and Barnabas Remained in antioch so they keep in touch with the souls they have converted for Jesus. The Bible says, "heaven rejoices when One soul converted" right?. Oh yea! but what do you think will be the mood in heaven when the one soul they have rejoiced after has backslided? Yea that's the point. There us great need to regualrly visit those who have been newly coverted to Christ so we can build their faith in Christ to avoid backsliding or returning back to their old ways.

Patiently Teach Them With Simplicity

Yea! this is another very important point. There is also need to note that these newly converted souls are new born babes. What we preach to them and how we go about it matters alot. It will benefit them more and make them stay if we teach them with simplicity. We can begin by sharing the love of Christ and what He has helped mankind achieve and the likes before going deep into the word. The point here is that we should not begin teaching them what will confuse them or may cause controversy. You can recommend books and mesaages they can read with to build their faith.

Refer Them To Older Believers Or pastors

Now back to you, if you encounter challenges, so that you do not lose your soul in trying to establish a soul, refer them to older believers or pastors. Galatians 6 vs 1 says;

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

It is wisdom not weakness to do such a thing.

Always make Sure They Are Baptized In The Holy Ghost

The importance of the Holyghost cannot be Overemphasized. Therefore, there is need to encourage them to be baptized in the Holy Ghost for direction so they can also be soul winners like you.

We must not be ashamed of Christ before men, so He will not be ashamed of us before His father and His angels. We must bodly declare the gospel of Jesus wherever er are and in whatever we do. We are not here to stay forever but while we are here, let us invade the kingdoms of this world with the gospel of Christ.
