Christians today have lost their prayer life this may be as a result of being in conformity with their present environment or because they have lost their faith in it.I am practically here to outline some critical facts about prayer from the word of God. However prayer goes beyond the physical than the way many persons are seeing it,it is very spiritual prayer is the network line to connect the heavenly realms the throne of God. prayer has many principles I won't be able to exhaust them from this write-up,not even up to half but believe me you it is worthwhile so I begin like this There are different types of prayers,also their a great men in the Bible which their prayer lives are worthy to emulate in otherwords copy even Jesus the very begotten of the Father who came from Heaven who was with God from the very beginning when the earth was void prayed, so that gives us believers no room to exempt or exclude ourselves from connection with God by the indulgence in prayers.
Types of prayers by which Christians or believers communicate or relate with God concisely:

1.PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND ADORATION: This mode of praying has to do simply with worship and praises it's sole objective is thanksgiving to engage God the Father in this format of prayers is simply acknowledging Him as the one who has been protecting,clothing feeding and all needs present in your life as the provider of them all, frankly communicating God is the author of all our needs and even our wants. One principle to note is that when you thank someone for giving you something you are indirectly asking for more,when you praise God and worship him for the benefit of His pre-eminence over your life and that of your family you are indirectly asking God for more.The scripture below gives a practical paycheck of what comes next after offering the Prayer of Adoration

-Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
-For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
2corithians 9:11-12

2.PRAYER OF PETITIONING:These type of prayer is very common here we ask God for our needs which should primarily be spiritual as well as the physical needs and wants one thing we ought to note is that when we ask God for something our request should be in conformity with His will 'Thy will be done'this is to say let God's will should prevail. We are assured by God the Father in the book of Matthew saying

Matt 7:7-8
-Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
-For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

This is a reliable promise of God it sweetens my belly that I will like to read all day long.

3.INTERCESSORY PRAYER: As the name implies these prayer majorly has to do with praying on behalf of someone many Christians practically shy away from these type of prayers without prior knowledge that when you intercede for your neighbor God cannot leave your prayers unanswered friends should endeavor to intercede for each other, parents for their children, husbands for their wives and vice-versa, believe me you this gladdens God's heart because God enjoys his children looking for one another even unto strangers people you don't know.

-Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. Deuteronomy 10:19
Those were the basic types of prayers we should know and practically be addicted to I want to rule out some misconceptions about prayer.

We should know that were you pray has nothing to do with the effectiveness or rephrased if God will give answers to your prayers or not like the man in the photo above is in a church so many persons believe they can only pray in the church or you can be very more effective there if you are within the confines of the church building,that's wrong. The jinx of a particular spot for prayer as in the Old Testament has long been removed when Jesus died on the cross the veil in the temple was torn giving all persons access to communicate with God from anywhere they are praying in Jesus name and needing no priest physically to present their petitions .
In addition some persons also have the wrong notion that God only listens to your prayers if you've been a good person that is a wrong fact God is Holy that's why he sent his son to die for our sins even why we were yet in our sins irrespective of your past and present lifestyle God is ever ready to receive communications from his children.
Also some persons have this belief that if you don't see the answers to prayers right away,it means God has answered negatively that's not true if your prayer is delayed doesn't mean it had been denied you might not seen any result after you just prayed but should be rest assured that God is actively workimg behind the scenes for response to your prayers.

Interesting reflection! very appropriate for this time. Prayer is the result of spiritual growth, more than an obligation is a pleasant practice. On many occasions I have heard prayer as something mystical, however, in practical terms, it is "talking to God" (many will say that it is irreverent); then I see GOD as my father, someone with whom I can talk at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, approaching with confidence the "throne of grace" through my elder brother Jesus Christ, and if I say Something that is not the case, I have the Holy Spirit that intercedes for me with indescribable moans GOD is almighty! Prayer is a tool to communicate with him. Grace and peace, brother! Blessings
