Let me start by defining how i see love.

Love can be seen or said to be a strong positive emotion of regard and affection and any object of warm affection or devotion.

The only geniue and unending love is the love of God our father.

Love as a fruit of the spirit implies that everything you are doing whether in the household of God or without;is motivated out of love,since it is a fruit ,the dept of this love is expected to be growing in leaps and bounds.

This love as a fruit of the spirit is impartial which was seen in Deut. 10:19.

FACES OF LOVE

*Test of sonship
The Holy Bible makes a categorical declaration on one of the major indices of our son ship in christ. God has his divine measuring gauge. Unfortunately men,as part of satanic diversion,are setting up contrary gauge for themselves. This is part of what apostle Paul was making allusion to when he warned aganist another Gospel in Galatians 1 vs 6-7.

The true standard or test of our sonship has nothing to do with the number of years we have been attending church ,our relationship with the Pastor-Founder or even the way we speak in tongues.

The true test of sonship can be seen in 1john 3:14"We know that we have passed out of death into Life, because we love the brothers and sisters. He who does not love remains in [spiritual] death." The Bible stated love as an indicator of being saved.

*Love - test of true discipleship

A true disciple is one who follow in the matter's step. Many go to church today but only a few will qualify as disciples. A follower is one who follows at will. He follows the extent that it is convenient for him at the point in times. Whereas,a disciple is he who has convenanted himself to his master,come rain come shine.

Christ said in john 13:35"By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another."

• Love - The obedience Test

Obedience is a key to any successful christain and spiritual walk. Anyone whose fruit shall abide or endure must first have been a good student in the school of obedience. Love is not an abstraction as many people think. Another basic text of the fruit of the spirit in a Believer's life is the extent of obedience to Gods words. John 14:15 says"If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments."
John 14:23 says "Jesus answered, "If anyone [really] loves Me, he will keep My word (teaching); and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling place with him."

As believers we should know that love is the ultimate thing. Living in this divine love is more than what an ordinary mortal can do. That natural rule says "love those that love you", but divine rule says Luke 6:27-28"But I say to you who hear [Me and pay attention to My words]: Love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, [make it a practice to] do good to those who hate you,bless and show kindness to those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."

This divine rule will be impossible to an unbeliever or natural man ;it can not be produced human effort . such love can only be a product of the love of God in our heart.
