At some point in our lives we have found ourselves in difficult situations, some have a solution and this gives us comfort, but what about facing those things that we can not change or avoid? Let's look at five steps to face suffering:
I.- To make Christ the Lord of our lives:
a.- Making Christ the Lord of our lives helps us to endure adversity, without denying God; as was the case with Job. Job 1: 21-22.
b.- When Christ is our Lord, we are patient to wait for the exit that God will give, even if we do not understand what is happening. Psalm 40: 1-2.
II.- Take the attitude of Christ:
a.- Christ remained firm, until he said that it had been consummated. John 19:30.
b.- Until the battle, like the apostle Paul. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8.
III.- Glorify Christ:
a.- You will not have to do much when you glorify God. 2 Chronicles 20: 21-22.
b.- There is nothing that stops, when you praise God. Acts 16: 25-26.
IV.- It depends on the grace of God:
a.- If the situation is difficult and you can not resolve it, do not get bitter, it depends on the grace of Christ. 2 Corinthians 12: 7-9.
b.- If Christ does it, amen, and if not, amen, we know that our future is much better. Romans 8:18.
V.- Do not despair:
a.- Do not lose the blessing, for a passing suffering. 2 Corinthians 4:17
b.- Through pain we are perfected. 1 Peter 5: 7-11.
The good thing about all this is that in none of the tribulations or anguish we are alone. Glory to God ! Do not be discouraged, the pain is temporary, and life in Christ Jesus is eternal! The Lord will help us to fight every day like a good soldier.
But do not forget to give the glory to the Lord of your life and glorify his name, this makes the pain less, and then you can say what the prophet Samuel said: "UNTIL HERE I HELP JEHOVAH"
