Prayer is the audible or mental conversation of the children of God with their heavenly father. Among humans: as children grow up, they move away from their parents; but in the spiritual: greater communion with our Heavenly Father, greater growth. Jesus prayed continually, both in secret and in public. His last prayer was on the cross of Calvary.

I. - When should we pray?
a) At all times. Ephesians: 6:18
b) The first Christians prayed without ceasing. Acts. 12: 5
c) Elijah prayed and continued praying until he was successful. 1 Kings 18: 42-44
II.- Where should we pray?
a) In each place. 1 Timothy 2: 8

III.- How should we pray?
a) "According to his word", with a sincere heart and with faith. Acts 12:22; John 14: 12-14
b) With rejoicing and thanksgiving. Psalm 100: 2
c) Humbly. Luke 18: 10-14
d) persistently Luke 18: 7-8
e) Forgive Mark 11: 25-26
IV.- Who should we pray?
a) To our Heavenly Father Jeremiah 33: 3; Matthew 6: 9
b) In the name of your beloved child. John 14:14
c) Helped by the Holy Spirit. Romans 8: 26-27
V. - Why should we pray?
a) The Lord ordered it. Matthew 5:44
b) Jesus gave us an example. Luke 6:12
From the prophets until today: The great servants of God have been men of fasting and prayer, without exception.

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching over him with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints" Ephesians 6:18.
