STEEMCHURCH: THE SOWER

in steemchurch •  7 years ago

This is a passage of great learning, and is that our creator has always looked for the most appropriate way for us to understand clearly what his word says, and we see it reflected in this verse Matthew 13: 1-9 where he explains us about a very peculiar way, the ways a person can receive the word of God.

Matthew 13: 1-9

That day Jesus left the house and sat by the sea. And a lot of people joined him; And when he got into the boat, he sat down, and all the people were on the beach. And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying: Behold, the sower went forth to sow. And as he sowed, part of the seed fell along the road; and the birds came and ate it.

Some fell on stony ground, where there was not much land; and it sprang up early, because it had no depth of land; but the sun came out, it burned; and because it had no root, it dried up. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up, and they choked it. But some fell into good soil, and yielded fruit, which was a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and some thirtyfold. The one who has ears to hear, hear.

If we analyze separately part of this verse we can see that the same Jesus explains what happens to us depending on the situation in which we are. In verse 19 he says

19 When a man hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one that was sown next to the road. 20 and he who was sown on stony places, this is he who hears the word, and at once receives it with joy; 21 But it has no root in itself, but is of short duration, for when affliction or persecution comes because of the word, then it stumbles.

And how many identify with this verse? There are many times that we human beings go to church or simply listen to the word of God and we do not understand what he wants to tell us, that is why we should ask him for discernment and direction so that he guided us in the daily walk, and so to ensure that this word is not taken away but rather that in its time of fruit, we as Christians have a great task and that is that when we preach to new believers we must have them present not only in our prayers, to help them in their spiritual journey.

22 He that was sown among thorns, this is he that heareth the word, but the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Effort is defined as "An agitation, a longing, craving". But the Bible defines it as: "Living in a state of worry

And it is that today the human being lives full of many worries and all this is due to the worries that every day are presented to us and inclusive are so much that many times they prevent us from eating, sleeping, even getting sick. We must learn to trust more in God, he has given us the ability, wisdom and strength to cope with each of our burden. But we have to recognize that the enemy will always be there for us, so we must hold on to God and not allow this to happen.

How many times do we complain about what we do not have, and we cling to material things thinking that this will make us happy and deep down we know that this is not the case. The devil has made us believe that we need something to be happy, and we begin to worry about it, instead of realizing what God has given us, and enjoying what we have

23 But he that was sown on good ground is he that heareth and understandeth the word, and it bringeth forth fruit; and produces a hundred, sixty, and thirty-one.

This must be the goal of each one of us to make that seed we sow fall on good soil and can bear fruit in the time of God, we must prepare with the help of God the land of all those people to whom we are going to preach , to clean, break, fertilize and fertilize that land in which we are sowing.

We must recognize that without God we are nothing, I share a verse that is always present.

I AM the vine, you the branches; he who abides in me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; because without me you can do nothing
