Finance and the Bible

Hello dear brothers of @steemchurch, in this opportunity I bring you a topic of great relevance, for us as children of GOD, I hope it is helpful and enjoy reading, I will try to make a sequence of studies on this same topic.

God gave us guidelines to manage money because he loves us and cares about us. In the Bible There are more than 2350 verses that refer to money and possessions. Jesus taught more about money than about any other subject. The issue of money is the most mentioned in the new testament, apart from the theme of love.

The Lord knew that we would need wisdom to use the money, that is why He revealed in the scripture

PRINCIPLES ABOUT WORK, PROFITS, EXPENSES, SAVINGS, INVESTMENTS, GIVING, DEBT DEBT, AND THE TEACHING THAT SHOULD BE GIVEN TO CHILDREN ON HOW TO MANAGE MONEY.

Three reasons why God talks so much about money:

• The way we handle our money is an external expression of an internal spiritual condition.

Luke 16:1. 0He who is faithful in very little, also in the most is faithful; and the one who in the least is unjust, also the most unjust.

The area of money management is one of those "very little" areas. Why do I say it? ... Well, because who knows how you are handling money? Often the wives do not know how the spouses handle the money in the house.
The way we make economic decisions shows the principles and values we have in life.
Whether you decide to bribe a policeman in your country, smuggle some equipment through customs, lie on your tax return or listen to music on a pirated compact disc, those economic decisions simply show what you really value in your life (his time, his money), and what place the word of God and Jesus Christ himself occupies in the throne of his heart.

• The way we manage money affects the intimacy of our communion with Christ.

Luke 16:11. For if you were not faithful in the unrighteous riches, who will entrust to you the true?

A more intimate relationship with Christ is what is true in life.

Many times, we see people that God has blessed, after having nothing God begins to prosper them, but instead of clinging more to the presence of God and seeking his face first, they turn aside their gaze for the love of money and all the passing passions that he gives, forgetting that the source of his riches is Jesus.
The market economy and love for the little money we have competes for the love of the Lord and His Kingdom (that is why, many times we are willing to commit our loyalty to Christ for a few dollars).

• The way in which we live with respect to the use of money in front of our brothers speaks to them of an integral, generous or disloyal attitude.

A basic criterion for living as a Christian is in the Bible in Romans 12: "Live not according to the criteria of the present time, but according to the will of God, according to what is good, what is pleasing, what is perfect."

The economic life of the Christian must bear witness

A Christian, therefore, can not live as a pagan does, even as a virtuous or honest pagan. The economic life of the Christian must be different from that of the mundane.

What a Christian does with money is looked at carefully by non-Christians, has an element of evangelization and important testimony.

Another basic characteristic of a Christian has to do with a generosity entrusted to God, which is summarized in 2 Corinthians 9, 6-10: "He who sows little, reaps little, he who sows a lot, reaps a lot." Or in the parable of the talents: the Master is angry when he sees that a servant did not put to surrender his talent, but hid it. The Master asks to sow, to strive to bear fruit, not to hide and hunt.

Amen very good topic, you have to know how to manage in the part of money, blessings

The love of money is the root of all evils, we must always use it to bless others, since we are stewards of the kingdom.nice post @roseri

You have used explanations i never thought of. This has added to my knowledge. God bless you.

As christians, we should be careful about money because the bible said its the root of all evil. Money has a way of changing people but the grace of God will definitely spare us from temptation.

Great post @roseri

Money is not the root of evil but the love of money
