As human beings, God granted us the privilege of choosing between good and evil, so is his word, but it is in us to choose God to take the right path and the holy spirit to guide us in the transit of life, if we choose God the devil will flee from us, for his word is established by James 4: 7
"Submit yourselves therefore to God; resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
