Hymn 106:12 is a valuable word. "At that point they trusted His words;/They sang His acclaim." This was the state of the offspring of Israel in the wild. They accepted, and they sang. They trusted, so they adulated. Acclaim has an essential fixing—confidence. You can't adulate vainly with the mouth. You can't state carelessly, "I thank the Lord! I applaud the Lord!" You should accept.
