MAKE WORDS IMPACTFUL

Addressing the Collosians Christain, and by extension, Christain everywhere ,the apostle Paul admonishes in Collosian 4:6 "let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye how to answer every man".

This means that your conversations must reveal your christain character. They must exemplify and recommend christainity, not repel people from embracing it.They must not only be holy but also wise, gracious, intelligent and edifying.

Jesus our perfect example, demonstrated this throughout his three and half year earthly ministry. He spoke with grace, wisdom and finesse. Everywhere he went, people bore witnes to his gracious and encouraging words(Luke 4:22).His words shared the sorrowful, comforted, the feebleminded, strengthened the weak, healed the sick and confounded the wise.

Just as Jesus words were impactful, your words, as his follower, should have positive effect on your hearers daily. Ephesians 4:29 says "good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto (your) hearers". They should be kind, encouraging, soul lifting and powerful. Never use harsh, impolite, judgemental, curt and dismissive words on people. Such unwholesome language may repel those you are trying to win over for Christ. You should also avoid using angry, proud, haughty and arrogant expressions; lies, perjury, profane oaths, curses and imprecations; as well as foolish jesting and vulgar language which are unprofitable and sinful. The holy book warns in Ephesians 4:29 "let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth". Your conversation or language should be impressive, graceful, edifying, and winsome, preserving people from the corrupting influence of the society. Your words be used in a graceful manner; so that there is never any room and place for vain discourse, unprofitable talk, and idle words, which must all be accounted for on the day of judgement.

The lord takes notice of all your communications and he will judge every careless, inconsiderate, and filthy word that you speak. He says in Matthew 12:36 "that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement" . To avoid this watch your words and restrain your tongue from saying things that are unedifying and sinful. Also know when and when no to speak and say the right thing at the right time. You must always impact peopIe positively with your speech. This may not be as easy as it sounds but with prayer, caution, and self control, We will all get there.

Thanks and Godbless.

Learning from Jesus Christ who is the finest example and his apostle's (Paul) words could be very beneficial. When our words are seasoned with salt as the bible admonishes, roads will easily be opened for us. Thanks for this writeup.

I just love this write up bruv. Many Christians are not acting like Christians in any way. They say so many bad things which they ought not to say and this is wrong.
Our words should be kind words of hope. Our speech should make non Christians come to christ, not make them question Christianity.

This part of your post clarifies my statement.

This means that your conversations must reveal your christain character. They must exemplify and recommend christainity, not repel people from embracing it.They must not only be holy but also wise, gracious, intelligent and edifying.
We should always think about what we say before we say them so as not to convey the wrong message.

The Words which comes from our heart should be spoken with grace and kindness.

Your tongue possess the power to bless and curse, so Speak wisely.

Our words should be impactful to others. The way we speak is a reflection of our lifestyle.

Thats why we should be mindful of the words that come out of our mouth, and try to control insensitve and abusive words as much as possible!!

Out of the abundant of the heart the mouth spraketh and what ever that goes into a man doesnt defike a man but what that comes out of man so is very portant that we watch our words so well as a good christian.

This is a weakness for most people today.
Their words can hurt you beyond doubts if you are very sensitive to words of people.
Also this is a strength to the wise for they win the heart and favor of people by barely speaking out flavored words.
A good write up bro
