Why should we praise?

Greetings to you brothers and sisters of the steemchurch. Hope we are all having a good day?.
Just recently a thought crossed my mind about praise and worship and I decided to share my thoughts with the church.

First of all, what is praise?

To express one's respect and gratitude towards (a deity), especially in song.

Do you know that the main purpose of man's creation is simply to glorify God? This is seen in the bible book of Isaiah in chapter 43 verse 7

Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

This just clearly tells us that we are to glorify God every time for that is why we were made. We can glorify God by praising him.
But in a world filled with troubles and problems how can we focus on praising God every step of the way?
With our lives tied around our busy schedules it may seem difficult to take out time to praise God.
Sometimes we forget to praise our heavenly father because we seem to have forgotten some of the reasons why we should glorify him. Putting these reasons in your heart, they would always remind you of why you should praise the king of glory.

• praise God because he is a powerful God
  We can see this in the bible book of Psalm 21 verse 13,

"Accept our praise, O Lord, for all Your glorious power. We will write songs to celebrate Your mighty acts!"

• praise God for his loving kindness
  Another reason why we should praise God is because he is loving and kind. We can see this in the book of Psalm 107 verses 8-9,

"Oh, that these men would praise the Lord for His loving-kindness, and for all of His wonderful deeds! For He satisfies the thirsty soul and fills the hungry soul with good."

• praise God for being Alive
  A very important reason to praise God is the fact that you are still alive. Many persons may have died but God in his mercies has kept you till this moment. You are part of the living. You should thank him for this.

• praise God for forgiveness and mercy
  We should praise God for his mercies and forgiveness of our sins. This can be found in the book of Psalm 65 verses 1-3

"Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion; to You our vows will be fulfilled. O You who hear prayer, to You all men will come. When we were overwhelmed by sins, You atoned for our transgressions."

These are just a few among the many reasons why we should consistently praise God.
Praise God with music and dance, listen to songs of praise too. Let your life as a Christian be circled around praising God for this is our sole purpose, to give him glory.
