STEEMCHURCH: FATHER AND SON

in steemchurch •  7 years ago  (edited)

Ladies and gentlemen of the SteemChurch,

'Peace be with you.'

Steemit's most legendary blogger has returned.

'Where have you been oh-great SirKnight?' you ask.

This Knight has been on a holiday.
A wonderful holiday.
And with his noble father.

Father and Son

Hebrews 12:7

'Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?'

Source

When this Knight thinks about his childhood he appreciates 3 things:

1 - He had a roof over his head and food in his belly.
2 - He had the love of his family.
3 - And his father and mother provided him with everything he needed - but nothing more.

And this ladies and gentlemen is what this Knight calls... 'Character Building.'

If SirKnight wanted something, he couldn't simply ask for it... he had to WORK for it.

SirKnight's father had given SirKnight a platform to work from, without favour, without opulence.

Family resources were distributed responsibly, openly and with accountability.

And the greatest gifts that SirKnight's father would ever give to his children were his time and life lessons.

SirKnight knows that his father played a huge part in making him the blockchain legend he is today... and he will always be there for his father in return.

A father figure at SteemChurch

Source

SirKnight understands that he has become like a father to many at SteemChurch. 'Father' and 'mentor' are two frequently used terms.

SirKnight understands why this might occur. An older, seemingly wealthy, stable, god-fearing and family orientated man of power and conviction, will be a natural father figure for many.

And just as any child might... they might seek special favour or privilege - an additional share of the family resources perhaps. And this happens from time to time to SirKnight, though sometimes he would prefer it didn't.

For SirKnight is his father's son! SirKnight is:

1 - giving you this platform.
2 - giving you his time and love.
3 - giving you the life lessons you need to succeed.

SirKnight is teaching you self-reliance and helping you build character.

Special favours will teach you nothing of value and over time it is soul destroying.

Further, SirKnight has an entire SteemChurch family to provide resources for and must manage these scarce resources in a manner that best serves all.

So for those young men and women who seek special favours from this Knight, be prepared to receive the answer that too many parents are unfortunately reluctant to give...

"No."

Now back to celebrating 'fathers and sons,' in a time and place where music meant something.

True parents discipline their children, so that they know the way to walk, even when it is lacking, people who do not recognize earthly paternity or spiritual fatherhood, can not know God the Father. When Elias was caught, Elisha called out, My Father, because he is recognizing Elias as a Father, I believe that most of our beautiful community knows and recognizes what it means to have you.

A true father you've been to most steemians and personally i admire the fact that you are key in teaching us how to fish than giving us fish!

@sirknight our wonderful father, I hope you enjoyed your holiday with your father. Thanks God for given you to us as a leader, mentor and father in steemchurch.

You have been a Father figure and a mentor, as children sometimes we need the tough love to build our character.
Hope you had a nice holiday?

You are truly your father's son. I'm sure he's so proud of who are you and the man you have become.

You're are blessed to have everything you needed even as a child. My growing up wasn't that rosy, but it helped in moulding my life.

And yes, you are not just a founder of the steemchurch, but also a true leader. I look up to you and have learned a lot from you.

Keep up the good work and may God continue to bless you @sirknight

You are indeed a loving and caring father who knows what is best for your children......As a child who always depends favour from the father always without trying to work things out for his/herself.....a good father will always say "NO" The negative response it's not that he doesn't care for you but he only want you to be independent.

Dads and sons can have various relationships. It’s really sad if they are limited to the biological relationships only — but if you are on good terms with your father, you are truly a happy person.

Great wisdom is found in your message. This reminds of how Jesus used to deliver an important message to his disciples. Fathers always speak great wisdom to their sons that's what you have done.
Since I came on Steemit I have never found this kind of love and generosity you have shown to everyone here.
Many would have left if not for steemhurch, you have always stood behind us.
It is indeed a great sacrifice, thank you @sirknight for everything for words alone cannot express our appreciation.

This beautiful reading brings back memories of when I was a child and went out with my father, you are right that the best thing that a father can leave a son, is to teach the son to work for what he wants. Thank you @SirKnight because I know you were a good son and now a good father to all the parishioners.
postscript: you are in the ice, the music of before meant something, I really liked the song, FATHER AND SON - CAT STEVENS

As SirKnight has spoken, so do the wise. It would be a privilege to read a publication every day. Many share information, but you share experience. Thank you for sharing paths of Light.

Nicely written.

Just like it is said:

One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters.

You have left a good legacy for us!

welcome back again#
you was really missed
we get to learn alot from you
you have helped us to shape our character
thanks for encouragement

Well a capital letter NO as tall as an a four story building will do the trick. There is a word for the "suck up'' and the fact that the resources is available does not mean it should be given out at a snap of the fingers.

It's unfortunate some people are more focus on their claim to the family's resources negating the lessons which is ultimate

beautiful post

Very Great @sirknight

Good Job My Friend.

Great interesting gentleman. Father and Son par excellence par excellence in every relationship. That is what God wants us to do. Blessings

When the children sees their father return from work, they are glad to see daddy again but when their father goes for a holiday and returns, they are all excited for so many reasons; one of which is Daddy brought some goddies for us.

Welcome back Dad, We all are excited!

Welcome sir @sirknight. More blessings

Great @sirknight

Truly no doubt, you have been a father to many on the steem blockchain, Only a father knows what his sons need and when they ask. He will provide it,if it is beneficial to them. Thanks for the Fatherly love. Remain Blessed Sirknight

It's good to hear from the Father, Leader and mentor of steemchurch himself for the very first time after a long holiday. Hope you really enjoyed your holiday with your Father. Looking forward to start learning and drawing knowledge from your inspirational post.
You're once again, WELCOME @sirknight.

You are genuinely your dad's child. I'm certain he's so pleased with who are you and the man you have progressed toward becoming.

You're are honored to have all that you required even as a kid. My growing up wasn't that blushing, however it helped in embellishment my life.
What's more, truly, you are an author of the steemchurch, as well as a genuine pioneer. I admire you and have taken in a considerable measure from you.

Keep doing awesome God keep on blessing you @sirknight

@sirknight i never fail to look out for your post and thanks for your return. true discipline indeed is e during legacy a father can leave for a Son, however discipline should never break a son spirit for to make him end up a mediocre.
true discipline also is allowing a Son learn the hard way and not always givi g the yea answer but not without support.
My Dad once told me said to me...reading doesn't Kill but he never knew more than that.
true discipline is making a Son responsible for his own decisions.
MyOpinion

Still Elisedaniels...Love for the Gospel.

God bless you @sirknight, really that your wisdom is used in favor of teaching many and giving a firm example of Christianity. May God lengthen your days in this world so that you may continue to be a true servant of our Lord.

wow great notification from you a debt of gratitude is in order for sharing God bless you @sirknight

Surely, we understand that different characteristics it is necessary for a father before he can be recognized as one. You have have shown us a lot, you have taught us a lot and you have given us a lot... and that is why you deserves our respect. You are indeed a father. Hope you enjoyed your holiday sir

Father and mentor is the way we feel @sirknight, for all of us who live in steeemchrch. May God continue to bless this great lord and leader of @steemchurch.

That's what parents do, prepare their children for the struggles that will come in life, teaching them the value of work and that to get something you have to fight for it, everything you want to work to get it in society There would be less of what you like to get everything easily or those who take what is foreign. this publication is of reflection thanks @sirknight, God continue blessing you.

Thanks i love this.... Missed you..,
I got some thing you might like....
