This Knight has been contemplating the implications of 'Smart Media Tokens' (SMTs) for quite some time now. Then today, he had an epiphany.
Is SteemChurch destined to be Steem's very first... SMART MEDIA TOKEN?

I believe that what ever steemchurch sets it's major aim and objective towards, will be achieved, regardless of the struggles that comes with it. Steemchurch has been uplifted by God towards greater heights and nothing can stop it's success. This is an amazing piece of skill by brother owoblow, designing that one there, one thing is for sure the steemit church has come a Long way, it's quite an amazing initiative to set up steemchurch SMT.
However it's quite a strenuous process, but the Lord said, he is the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for him?
The bible also says on top of this rock shall I build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail

I have always been a great supporter of the SMTs initiative and I have taken special time to learn more about it for development purposes. It's nice to see that SteemChurch is looking towards the direction of expansion and I'll be willing to help the church build their software solution requirements for the launch of its SMT.

Sounds good but how do we keep it from becoming another denomination imposing its own ideas of who gets to call themselves Christian and be a part of the group. I do hope any attempts to draw up a Statement of Faith are not successful. I have never seen one that appreciates the great diversity that is in the body of Christ. Many reflect doctrines that were developed long after Jesus and the apostles died, yet they are considered to be the litmus test for "orthodoxy", such as the doctrine of the Trinity and Penal Substitution Atonement, both doctrines that did not exist in the earliest days of the church.

I just watched a video of a Steemit meet-up in Austin, Texas and Ned took place. They talked about the possibility of allowing communities to require x% of all posting rewards to go to said community account (assuming when you use a certain tag).
If we don't create an SMT this would be an interesting idea to help fund the church and to reduce the amount of spam in the steemchurch and celestialchallenge tags.
