Briefly, I will like to charge us on making God your standard not man. You know I have come to observe and see how many of us rather than desiring to be like God are now making man our standards. If we ask so many of us, who do you want to be like?? we already have list of people in our heads that we want to pattern our lives exactly like.
Now am not saying we shouldn't desire some good features about people
But I have seen some people who in the quest of wanting to be like some people they start following them morning, day and night, listen to their sermons, have their pictures posted everywhere in their house and even start making those people their prayer points that they totally forget who our focus and standard should really be. I remember watching a movie sometimes ago about a man who was the choir master of his church.

The guy presented himself to be living the holiest life in church, people respected and saw him as a standard. They saw him as that perfect Christian and even the choir members started praying his kind of life into their lives not knowing this guy was a secret fornicator who even aborted for a lady that lost her life.
The bible in Matthew 7 talks about many who are deep teachers of the word and yet their real lives on the inside is zero and many who will heal and perform miracles and yet not make heaven.
So when we look into others in some aspect let's just covet the positive part and above make Jesus our standard even in every aspect our lives. Let's tell Jesus this day. "lord I make you my standard in everything that I do and every step I take."
