The Original Hebrew Language virtually disappeared for 1700 years after Christ's death, burial and resurrection and was rediscovered if you will in the 1700's and today it has once again been hidden in what is called Modern Hebrew which came about because of the Zionist Movement and during this movement, Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, prepared the first modern Hebrew dictionary and so people started using Hebrew once again, but however because of the influence of European languages almost all aspects of the language have been altered including pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary.
God's name is 4 Hebrew Letters "seen here as יְהוָֹה in Modern Hebrew" which give a Hint of God's name, Gentiles will know these Letters as "The Tetragrammaton" seen as "YHVH" and in the Original Hebrew Language these letters are pronounced as, Yud, Heh, Vav, Heh and today these 4 Letters are hidden to the Jews and when they come to this Name that will simply say "Hashem" which means "The Name", but the Translation of these 4 Letters in the Original Hebrew Language mean "Behold the Hand, Behold the Nail." God's name is Jesus.
I just had a question come through in the comments on this article and I have added it immediately below in order to clear up some issues.
Comment: Old Testament is Jehovah. New Testament is Jesus.
My Reply: The words "Yehovah and Jehovah" are not found at all in the original text of the Bible in either the Old Testament written in Hebrew or in the New Testament written in Greek and these words were put into circulation by the Jewish scholars the Masoretes between the 6th and 10th centuries after Christ's death. YHVH are the 4 Letters which are a hint of the name of God, and these letters in the Original Hebrew Language are Yud, Heh, Vav, Heh (and these letters translate in meaning as "Behold the Hand, Behold the Nail") and the Masorete scholars put vowel points between the letters to create a brand new word which has no translation in Hebrew. Please Do Not Believe Me On This, Go and Do your own research on this very important subject. And for the record the word "Yahweh" does not exist at all either in any shape or form in the original texts of the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments. * And for the record I believe that God allowed this alteration of His name to be included in the Holy Bible so that people would question and look into this at a certain time and people have and we now today have this information and we know the truth right as we draw closer towards the rapture and the tribulation and then the millennium and then the forever with our Lord Jesus Christ. Glory be to God. (And also as the name has no translation in Hebrew it is also a unique name which does clearly identify God to us and has for centuries.)
Important Note: If you still call God the Father by, "Yehovah, Jehovah or Yahweh" its OK because at the end of the day Almighty God knows all those who belong to Him. 1 John 2:23 “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.” (KJV). Salvation is obtained by faith in Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God, in what He has done—specifically, His death on the cross and His resurrection. Romans 10:9-10 King James Version (KJV) 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? (KJV)
See the image below which shows Paleo Hebrew, the Original Hebrew Language. You should also notice the 1ST and LAST Letters, as God is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. (The 1st Letter of the Hebrew alphabet represents God and the Last Letter which is the Cross of Jesus Christ, represents God's covenant, His promise.) There are also 22 letters in the Original Hebrew alphabet and there are 22 corresponding chapters in the Book of Revelation and this is no coincidence, as everything in the Living Word of God is by absolute design and is absolute evidence of the hand of God. And there is so much more as every letter in the Hebrew alphabet proclaims Jesus.

This is not mysticism or hidden knowledge. No new doctrines are put forward. Everything you need to know for salvation is revealed in the plain text of the English translation of your Bible. However, your faith, which is “worth more than gold” (1 Pet 1:7), will be strengthened when you see the wonders of God’s “grand design” in Scripture.
