Happy new month to you all,I pray may the Lord bless and prosper the works of our hand this month in Jesus name.
I want to talk to us about THE FEAR OF THE LORD In the book of Psalm 111:10,the Bible says
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:a good understanding have all they that do his commandments:his praise endureth for ever."
Also in Ecclesiastes 12:13,it says
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:Fear God,and keep his commandments:for this is the whole duty of man."

The fear of the Lord is defined as having reverence,respect,the right attitude,perspective towards God. The Bible says "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom". So that means any person that fears the Lord is walking in wisdom,he is practicing wisdom.
WHAT THEN DO WE UNDERSTAND BY THE WORD "FEAR THE LORD"
- TO HATE EVIL
In Proverbs 8:13,it says " The fear of the LORD is to hate evil:pride,and arrogancy,and the evil way,and the froward mouth,do I hate."
When we refuse every evil things,reject their ways,we are fearing the Lord.
- IN GOD'S FEAR,THERE IS STRONG CONFIDENCE
When we fear the Lord,we will be bold and courageous to face any challenges before us because we believe God is there for us. Even we would be full of courage to face the devil and his cohorts.
- THE BIBLE HAS COMMANDED IT
Since God has said it in Ecclesiastes 12:13,we must obey the commandment of God and acts on it.
- IT IS A FOUNTAIN OF LIFE
We would enjoy life and all his benefits when we fear the Lord,He will prolong our days on earth and make us live longer in good health and peace.

THERE ARE SOME BENEFITS ATTACHED TO THE FEAR OF GOD
There are rewards for us if we obey God's commandments and we will be happy for such thing. Here are the benefits;
Our lives will be prolong
He will reveal His secret to those that fear Him.
His mercy will be on them that obeys His commandments.
He pities those that fear Him just as a father pities his children
We would abide under His protection always as we fear Him.
