The Glory of Weakness!

For these reasons, for the love of Christ, I can be happy in weaknesses, in offenses, in needs, in persecutions, in anguish. Because when I'm weak, I'm strong!

II Corinthians 12.10


The apostle Paul received so much grace as he witnessed revelations about the Kingdom of God. He makes it clear that he was not worthy of what happened. For this to be evident in his life and not to boast of such a fact, a thorn in the flesh was imputed to him.

A weakness that made him remember the Grace of God that is superabundant in the midst of great adversities.
Weakness, Paul describes the points in the flesh that beset us (II Cor 12.7). Regardless of the reason, they are present in our lives on different occasions.

As much as weakness is synonymous with sadness, the follower of Jesus Christ understands it as a memory and that there is a purpose when it is evident. It is in her that the Lord finds space to perfect our faith.

Such imperfections are important for personal growth. For the Lord to come to perfect our faith through weaknesses, it is necessary humility to recognize them, because that generates complete submission to God, and then we see clearly the wonders that He can operate in our lives. It is in those moments that the most marked experiences with God occur.

There are times in life when we are extremely humiliated, weak and powerless. We have not been able to verbalize and express the feelings that afflict us. Sadness, anguish, anxiety, in short, the perception that we are insignificant in the face of weaknesses. It is not a temporary condition, but permanent. For us, it seems irreversible. But God makes this condition an opportunity for his infinite grace to reach us.

Therefore, as much as that pain reaches us, the sadness generated by the weakness is a great learning opportunity. Seek God, and you will perceive that just like Paul, that when he is weak, then he is strong - because the Lord is with us!

Our weaknesses are memories that lead us to depend totally on God.
