Humility and Pride

To everything in life, there is an opposite. In this case, pride is the exact opposite of humility and it is very dangerous. By all means in our daily living, we should always try to do away with this habit of pride.

Humility is a habit each and everyone of us should go after. Humility paves a way to greatness. Unlike pride, it helps one to go down. Humbility is the sure way to going places in life unlike pride which retards one's upliftment in life.

One dreadful thing about pride is that God hates the proud. Ever wondered what it means for God to hate someone? It is even better for man to hate you than God hating you. When God hates you, it is simply the end for you because nothing will work for you.

Aside from hating the proud, God also resists the prideful ones but to the humble, He gives grace and favour. It is then left for you to choose who you want God to be to you.

Do you want God to give you grace or do you want God to be against you? It is entirely your choice but I would encourage you to imbibe the habit of being humble so God can lift you in due time.

Do not always esteem yourself above others. Do not always feel you are best and superior. Never feel you know it all because you don't. When you start nurturing these mindsets, you will certainly face destruction in life.

Follow after Jesus Christ, He never for once exhibited pride. He was always humble and constantly teaching humbility. It was His humility to die on the cross that makes us who we are today!

Be humble and you will be lifted but when you lift yourself, you will be brought low. God bless you!
