Don't shift the blame

In our world today, we hardly find people that take responsibility for their actions. Instead, we are always quick to push the blame to someone else or something else. Many stay away from church blaming lack of clothes, shoes, etc, forgetting the explicit instruction from God in Hebrews 10:25 which states "And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near."
Unfortunately, people will always try to justify their actions by shifting blames.

In Genesis chapter 3, a story of how Adam disobeyed God and ate of the forbidden tree is told. In verses 11-13, God confronted him and asked whether he has eaten of the tree he was commanded not to eat. Adam was quick to shift the blame to Eve and then Eve to the serpent (poor guy, he didn't have anything or anyone to blame).

In contrast to the attitude of Adam, David when confronted by prophet Nathan about his affair with Bathsheba, Uriah's wife, was quick to own up to his sins of adultery and murder. Sins that are not confessed have brought death to life, business, ministries, careers, etc and if we would be willing to take the blame and ask God for mercy.

How often have you blamed your shortcomings and failures on things and people? Stop blaming people for your predicament, stop blaming situationsdepositphotos_119890420-stock-illustration-man-silhouette-in-blaming-pose.jpg
