God demands total obedience in your daily walk with him. He is perfectly holy and demand perfect holiness from us.dont be deceived by the erroneous belief that provided your good deeds outweigh you evil deeds, God will accept you. The truth is that anything devoid of complete obedience falls short of God's standard and expectations from all Christians.
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, yet offend in one point, he is quitty of all, for he that said, don't commit adultery said also, don't kill.
God doesn't lower his standard to suit humanity, neither does he set an arbitrary standard, but he made provision that would enable us live a life of complete obedience to him. To attain unto complete obedience, therefore you must fully appropriate God provision through Christ vicarious death on the cross of Calvary. God made full provision for the Christian life through Christ death to reconcile us to himself. This mean that you must first be saved from your sin by receiving Jesus into your heart.
For as many that received him, to them gave he power to become the sons and daughters of God (John 1:2).
You must depend on God for a daily victorious life, knowing that you can't please God by your own strength. To this effect, Jesus declared that without him, you can do nothing.(John 15:5).Remember that God is too faithful to fail, you must have faith in him and believe ,you can do all thing through Christ that strength me. Pleasing God is never achieved by human effort or struggle but by faith in him, have faith on him will help you to leave a upright life.
Little things that matter are very Important, some Christian regard such sins as murder ,adultery fornication, covetousness, stealing and abortion as great sins. promptly avoid them like one keeping away from a plaque. But they consider some other sins as being little, but we need to tell the truth that God sight, there is no such thing as little or great singer. Sin is sin whether great or little, and they have the same consequence.
The tiniest sin will certainly separate you from the holy God because his eyes are purer than to behold sin (Habakkuk 1:13)
Consider the case of Adam and Eve, They neither committed adultery, nor murder, they merely ate the fruit that God had forbidden then from eating, they may seem a little sin, but it painfully separted then from God.
In God's way of holiness you must avoid
*little evil .
*little sins.
*little inconsistencies.
*little weakness.
*little folliess.
*little indiscretion and imprudences.
*little indulgence of self and of the flesh.
As Christians, we must guard against these little sins, those sins we consider so small and insignificant. From Bible account and through human experience, you will agree that the so called little sins lead to other greater and more terrible sins.
Taking David case, for example he saw Bathsheba in order to conceal his atrocity. That the danger of not checking or identifying these little sins so as to nip them in the buid before they escalate to something bigger. Do you know that great things often start in little ways.
A little drop of water make a mighty ocean. Even the seemingly insignificant, little ant is important.(proverbs 6:6).The tongue, through a little members, it can defile the whole body and set on fire the course of nature, if not tamed.
As little and harmless as termites may appear, they can destroy great building and trees, if you don't get rid of them. A little sin is all it takes to ruin a beautiful testimony.
These things you count as little can have adverse effects on lives and properties if not checked. When God makes a promise, it is often punctuated with the condition of obedience.
