Bob in the future - Crypto in 2050!

Bob has just met up with Doc. He is starting at DeLorean, as Doc tells about the amazing possibilities of the car, due to the fantastic flux capacitor. "Do you want to give it a try," Doc is asking, and Bob laughs and says "yes." On the inside, he is sure that it will not work no matter what, so who cares?!

The timer is set to October 25th, 2050. The engine starts, and before he really understands what has happened, Bob is crashing with a tree! What just happened? He gets out of the car, and takes a close look at his surroundings. How come he hasn't seen this before?

It only takes a few moments for the police to arrive, and they ask for his ID. Bob grabs for his wallet, and finds his drivers license! The police officer looks at him, and immediately finds an alcohol test as well. Only someone on alcohol (or drugs) would show a completely out of date and old-fashioned drivers license after crashing with a tree!

Bob doesn't know his public wallet key...

What's wrong? Bob doesn't understand why the police officer is looking so strangely at him! After some minutes of silence, Bob cries out: "What do you want from me?"

"Why don't you just hand over you public wallet key and I will get all the details immediately?" Bob doesn't understand a thing! He finds his house key and his car key, but when he shows them the to officer, his eyes just got even bigger!

"Your public wallet key... that is, the digital key that will give me access to the general information about you... including your drivers licence, your home address, your phone number, and other general information."

Bob doesn't really get it, so he just tells the officer that he has forgotten his public wallet key! The officer tells him to pull himself together, before he gives him a fine. Before handing over the fine, he also mumbles something about registering it on the chain, which should make it easily accessible from home as well!

Bob is lucky to find a payment card

Before Bob moves on, he looks around in DeLorean. There he discovers a payment card. It looks kind of different from his normal card, because it doesn't say VISA or MasterCard, but General Payment Card. It is packed with logoes, including a USD logo, a Bitcoin logo, a Litecoin logo, and lots of other logoes. Bob is hungry, so he walks to a store to buy some food. Stores seems to have changed, because all plastic is gone, and the garbage amount has been literally changed to nothing. But, the biggest change is when he takes a look at the prices. The price tags are no longer only in USD, but he can also see the price in cryptocurrencies. As he goes to the cashier to pay, he is asked whether he wants to use the Litecoin, the Bitcoin, or the USD account for the actual payment! Bob decides to use Litecoin. The payment is immediately processed, and he is ready to eat for the first time in what feels like a decade!

Time to fix DeLorean!

Bob is looking for a car mechanic to fix the car. He finds one, and tells the mechanic about the problem. The mechanic takes a look at the car and fixes it. When he noticed that the car hadn't been treated ever before in history, he creates a brand new "key" for the car and gives it to Bob. This is to be used whenever he brings the car along in the future. Wherever he goes, just hand over the key, and any car mechanic will get all the information about the car and previous upgrades and repairs done on the car!

As he gets ready to travel back to 2020 with DeLorean, he unfortunately smashes his head into the door. He faints, and as he wakes up, he is in a hospital bed. The nurse is smiling at him with big eyes and tells him that everything is gonna be fine! "We have just checked all your vital organs and you are absolutely fine. We found your user key, and thus, we saw all your treatments from the last 25 years, which means that we also watched out for your pacemaker, and also took special care of your leg which was operated last year..."

This was a lot for Bob... Suddenly he got to know things about his past, based on the present in 2050. It was both scary and great at the same time. It felt convenient to have his information stored and available. He didn't even look into his medical file, because that would be terrible as he returned to 2020, even though he felt tempted to do so!

Back to 2020

After his short hospital visit, Bob got back to DeLorean and returned to 2020! He was shocked. His tiny interest for cryptocurrencies and the blockchain technology had suddenly exploded! He had never imagined that it would play such a visible part in life 30 years later, but now he had taken a look behind the curtains!

Instead of trying to play lotto and invest so much in different cryptocurrencies, Bob decides to approach it all in a different. Seeing the impact the cryptocurrencies will have on the future, he decided to study it and learn everything there is about it. In that way, he can be prepared for the future ahead
