Enveng's Istanbul Trip #1 - Kuzguncuk 🌷

in steemdiary •  3 years ago

Hi, I'm writing from Istanbul 🎉 I love this amazing city that includes history, natural beauty, entertainment, art, music, crowd, Bosphorus, wealth, poverty, restful, and chaos ❤️

I wanna share my Istanbul adventure in parts. Because there are many places to visit. It combines Europe and Asia. It has a wonderful location so the many empires preferred this city throughout history. I mean, it is a pretty old city. The most populous city of Europe is Istanbul. The population of Istanbul is 15 million so it is crowded more than many countries. Each neighborhood has a different culture and style ⭐️ There are many most known places in Istanbul, I wanna start my first post with one of the natural and architectural beauties. This place is in Kuzguncuk which is in Üsküdar.

This is the famous Bosphorus Bridge. I am on the Asian side in this photo. While touching Asia, you can also greet Europe 😄 By the way, I can't help saying that I designed my outfit myself 🙃

I went there with my cousin. She said that there is so fresh and delicious Simit here so we first bought these delicious ones😋

Simit is a Turkish bagel that is Turkish style with sesame seeds.

There are a lot of seagulls in the Bosphorus, so it is a tradition to throw simit at the seagulls 🥨

I hope you can taste it someday 👌

Kuzguncuk is a district right next to the Bosphorus decorated with big plane trees and colorful wooden houses. There is an orchard here. This is one of the last remaining orchards in Istanbul. This orchard is a living space where the people of the region breathe, socialize, watch movies in the evenings. At the same time, tourists can be a part of this beauty.

Since such vacant lands are very valuable in Istanbul, people generally want to build buildings. The residents of the region did not accept this and submitted their kitchen garden projects to the municipality. The municipality accepted this and built this garden here in 2015.

The kitchen garden is divided into parcels and a part of it is reserved for the use of the people of Kuzguncuk. Who will plant this parcel is determined by the lottery drawn that year. The remaining parcels are given to the school. I took a tour around the garden 🌿

I love colorful wooden buildings with big trees around them. Therefore, the architecture of this place made me feel very good 🌺🌳 Of course, there are also very cute cafes here.

We went to the most famous chocolate cafe there. It is Chocolatier Aziz Bey that has handmade chocolates. The cafe gave their desserts women names. We prefered these desserts. Our desserts' name are Afife, and Azize.

Nakkaştepe City Garden
It is the other most known place in Kuzguncuk.

Nakkaştepe City Garden has both a unique view of the Bosphorus and a pleasant breeze because it is at a high altitude. There are sitting areas, walking and jogging paths in this garden. You can also grab a chance to make zipline with this wonderful view ✨

You can bring food and drink with you. There is also a cafeteria where you can buy food and drinks.

You look so beautiful as always. I love the pics and your outfit :) I must admit, even though I am Turkish, I didn't know Kuzguncuk is such a wonderful. I hope someday I can visit there.

Thank you so much, my friend. Your kind thoughts have made me happy 🥰 Istanbul is full of surprises, it is a great city to explore. I hope you can catch these beauties 🤗

Thank you, I hope so :)

Both of you are so entrancing, that when I see your pictures it makes me go against my custom of not complimenting people. Maybe that is why you choose to disappoint me by not including any new images of you.

Did you notice that @enveng is a bit of a glutton? She was so desperate to eat "Simit" she grew a second left hand with the same nail polish:

🤣🤣 good humour 👌

Hermosas fotografías y hermoso lugar,e encanta.

Love simit! And so many places to discover in istanbul. I have been only there once. However, also one time in Izmir, once in Ankara and cappadocia. I want to take the train from Ankara to Kars one day... Have you done it?

Wow, I'm surprised that you know Simit 😀 Nice to hear that you visited some important cities in Turkey👍 I'm suprised again how can you know that train tour 😄 I have been in Kars but not by train. That train tour is in my list, as well 😄
