This post is mostly for the non-believers out there who I have been trying to reach out to and tell about steemit but they shut me down as soon as they heard "bitcoin" or "blockchain" saying its all a scam, etc. I was browsing twitch last night and trying to get the word out there, and want to continue to do so cause the "creative" section there gets almost to no viewers. So many talented artists there that I believe need to see Steemit, the opportunities it gives and keeps on giving the people and community on a daily basis.
For the Twitchers who read this: Yes, it really is this easy to be rewarded more fairly for your time, without middle-men getting a cut, without corporations becoming rich off your time and talent. Try it out, get free SteemPower when signing up which accumulate over time, and your activity and time will become rewarded so much more than it would on any other platforms.
Here is approximately how much time I've spent in 2 weeks and my reward for it:
1st week: ~52h; learning the platform, trying to see if I can find any bugs, reading A LOT, voting, voting, voting, commenting and giving newcomers tips and making them feel welcomed. After knowing more about Steemit and reading the whitepaper a couple times, I started answering questions, weather they were basic or harder, I did my best to help out. To my surprise the reward caught me off guard, I didn't even expect to wake up to having gotten big upvotes on comments I had written days ago even. Steemit has surprised me in so many ways that I really do understand how many who see it for the first time think: "This really must be too good to be true..."
2nd week: 34h; started creating own posts, infographics, tips&tricks, etiquettes and info that I found were lacking on the site, that's all I do, I see what hasn't been mentioned yet or where there may be info lacking and I post about that, slowly but securely put the pieces of the puzzle together into a working and healthy community.
That's a total of: 86 hours in 2 weeks! and for that I received around 1800 Steem Dollars that I could withdraw or re-invest or do whatever I wanted with + the same amount in dollars of Steem invested into Steempower! That's insane!
1800$+510SP(1600$)=3400$ for 2 weeks of Steemit!
And I have to say it feels so good to know how many you have shown Steemit to and how it is changing their lives daily!
I started posting on Steemit 2 weeks ago after remembering my password, and managed to make that amount of Steem Dollarsand more Steem Power than I think I can handle. I am really amazed how my work here and activity has paid out and I can understand that a lot of people (even friends I see on a daily basis) think "it's too good to be true."
I wanted to post this not to "brag" but to motivate new users that even they can do it. Put your time and effort in it and someone will value it, weather it happens instantly or later, it will happen, the odds of the block-chain are in your favor! :)
So I went ahead and got myself some upgrades for the pc for me and my bro. ;) Was thinking of doing some streaming of my own soon and its gonna be all about Steemit and some about gaming. :)
Edit: the long box that says "touch me" on it is a mouse mat, not to cause any confusion. :P
Congrats @acidyo I too have told many people about STEEMIT. Some have signed up, some have posted and even made money, good money too, while others just don't believe or a just to lazy or not motivated enough to do something for themselves. This community is about participating.
FULL $TEEM AHEAD!

Indeed, some are even afraid "it might be something dangerous" its no good starting off by talking about bitcoin I've noticed, its like it has left a bad rumor around the world for cryptos from non-blockchain knowers.

Yes I same here . I told many people about related cryptocurrency and the first thing in there eyes was laughter. There mind must be thinking, if you can't touch or see it, it's not real. Well what can we do? Except to wait until time come and then put the laugh back at them.

Hi @acidyo,
Congrats on your #Steemit success!
This is an awesome post for anyone who is still skeptical about the platform.
And for those non-believers, they are not only missing out on a great community, but also on a great opportunity to have themselves rewarded for their hard word.
Keep up the good work!

So, you didn't actually sell your Steem or use SD, you just went ahead and used your own money because you're assuming that the $2K balance in your wallet is actually $2K worth of purchasing power you can use today... lol
