If you are a stand alone content creator the chances for you to get an upvote is very low. As the Steemit platform is populated with a wide variety of contents and are moving fast down as new contents are posted to the platform. These days the "New Posts" are being neglected by high SP users since most of their votes are already dedicated towards their favorite users.
Being a new user or a user that has low Steempower tend to be invisible since they don't create that much impact in the Steem platform.
