[English] News #2: Red Cross in Japan launches blood donation campaign in collaboration with the anime "So I'm a Spider, So What?"

A few days ago, the Red Cross in Japan started a campaign to donate blood in collaboration with the anime "Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka?" or in English known as "So I'm a Spider, So What?"

For 500ml of blood, you get a plush toy of our beloved spider Kumoko, as well as illustrations of the characters of the series, and many more prizes!

What is "Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka"?

Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka? (蜘蛛ですが、なにか?? lit. So I'm a Spider, So What?) is a Japanese web novel written by Okina Baba. It began its online serialization on May 27, 2015 on the user-created light novel website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. A light novel adaptation with illustrations by Tsukasa Kiryu began publication in Kadokawa Shoten on December 10, 2015. A manga adaptation with illustrations by Asahiro Kakashi and character design by Tsukasa Kiryu began publication in Kadokawa Comics magazine Young Ace Up on December 22, 2015. On July 6, 2018 an anime adaptation was announced by Yen Press (Kadokawa) during Anime Expo 2018, later on August 8 of the same year the first Trailer of the anime was released.

Synopsis: The story begins with the protagonist, a high school student, until a mysterious explosion kills her entire class and they are reincarnated into a fantasy world. While some were reincarnated as princes or prodigies, others were not so lucky.

Our heroine, who was the most antisocial of the group, discovers that she was reincarnated as a spider. Now at the bottom of the food chain, to survive she will need to adapt to this new situation with sheer willpower while trapped in a maze full of monsters, it's eat or be eaten!

This is the story of a spider doing everything possible to survive.
