Steemfest: I'm in Kraków

Crazy Trip

Finally made it to Kraków.

This Victoria Sponge Cake was the best thing that happened today. It was kind of lunch at the airport before flying out to Kraków. For the first time, I didn't pay for the extra leg room or isle seat, so naturally I ended in the middle seat, near the back - fidgety guy to my left, odorous lady to my right. Fantastic.

Thanks to Avengers Infinity War, the entire flight went by quickly. We had three episodes of turbulence, but I was so transfixed by seeing Spiderman, Black Panther and Captain America on the same screen.

I grabbed the world's most insane Uber to town. I thought he was trying to kill me. He was texting on one phone, and talking on the other! I tried breaking the ice with the little Polish I know, but he spoke better English than my Polish. He's Ukrainian and "his women were calling him". Women. Plural. He's some kind of player Uber driver guy.

By the way everyone, Kraków is pronounced Krakoov not Krak-cow

I survived the Uber and arrived at what seems like Kraków's equivalent of East London. I think I'm in a rough area haha. I was immediately asked for money by some drunks, followed by a very attractive young lady asking if I wanted to go to a strip club. Both times I just smiled and walked faster.

The receptionist was awaiting me. She seems lovely and speaks perfect English. The room is way too big for just me. The halls are large and historic looking. I wondered what things took place here decades ago.

As I always do in a new city, I decided to take a walk around the couple of blocks to orientate myself, and get a feel of the environment. Besides, I was hungry. Luckily I found some food kiosks serving street food. So cheap, so delicious! I Love this place already

Everything has gone silent outside my giant windows now. I think I'll jump in the shower and snooze off after publishing this. Tomorrow I'll go hang out with some steemians!

Hhehehe, oh my!Sounds like you are having the time of your life! Never seen such a long sausage :O

The Polish (and Germans) are known for their long sausages. But, it's not the size that matters dear, it's the flavour of.. ok I'll stop here before it gets too bad LOL
