WHEN YOU MIGHT BE MISSING OUT ON STEEMFEST

So I booked flight tickets to Lissabon for me and my wife. But only one-way, since I did not like the price for the return flight... My friends think I'm crazy. I like to keep an eye on flight tickets and book 'em as cheap as possible. So, at the moment I have two flight tickets to Lisbon for Thursday morning 2nd of November. But no return tickets yet.

This morning I woke up to a price alert from Google for a possible return flight on Tuesday 7th of November, only € 33,- per ticket!

So now, if our employers agree, and we manage with our families that the kids are looked after, we're looking at a 6-day stay in Lisbon, just the two of us!

That might sound great, but this is what my wife has in mind:

This is what I have in mind:

She did agree to come to Steemfest with me, when I proposed the compromise of 2 days at Steemfest and also a couple of days of romantic city tripping. She even registered on Steem and will probably get an account one of these days. But when I learned that the entry fee to Steemfest is about € 222,- per person, suddenly things changed. Is this worth it? After being quite active for a couple of months, I have about 100 Steem Power and just a little bit of SDB, most of it spent on post-boosting services. My wife is still quite skeptic towards Steemit, the Steemit community and crypto-currency in general. So she said, if you can pay for the entry tickets with those crazy digital tokens you get from blogging, commenting and engaging with the community, well then let's go!

I fear I will find myself strolling the wonderful romantic streets of Lisbon, or even worse, shopping (!), while you guys are networking, sharing and generally having a blast only a couple hundred feet away. Now I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed with FOMO, the fear of missing out, it's eating me alive, it gnaws at me, it's a monster that I have decided to battle.

I have decided to step up my Steemit game, get more involved, live Steem, breathe Steem, get up early in the morning, staying up late at night glued to slightly flickering screen with a blue wavy logo is hovering in the upper left corner of the screen. You will see me around, brace yourselves, I'm on the hunt for 2 x 284 = 568 SBD.

If I had the funds and was already there, I'd be pretty steemed if I didn't make it to Steemfest2

Well INDEED!

think about checking price in incognito mode or on another computer/device with different IP. Sometimes you can gain a few euros. By the way Lisbon is a great city and portuguese food is great !

I already have flight tickets booked now. For both me and my stunningly beautiful wife. But it's Ryanair and that company isn't doing great at the moment, a lot of personnel on strike or left the company. I'm hoping we can get to Lisbon in November!
