My name is Robert Ochman. I am 24 years old and a graduate from Central Connecticut State University with a B.A in Psychology and minor in Sociology. I currently have been working in the Digital Media field for two years now in Stamford, CT. Getting to go to Lisbon, Portugal would be an absolute experience since I am working close to 60 hours a week since I have graduated. I haven't dealt with Cypto-Currency until recently and that is what caused me to get into Steemit a few weeks ago.
It would cost me $1,000 to buy a flight and stay in Lisbon for Steemfest, but the overall experience is PRICELESS!
Rumor on the block has it that SteemFest in Amsterdam last year was a super great time. If you are reading this, I'm sure you already know what SteemFest is but for those who dont:
Why go to SteemFest?
One of my fellow Steemians ( @JeffJagoe ) brought my attention that SteemFest is in Lisbon this November. Though I've only been a member of the Steemit community for a week now, I have seen some return on a few of my blogs that I have posted. As a little Steem minnow I first didn't see the value in traveling all the way to Portugal for something I have just started and spending over $500 on a round trip.
After thinking and reading a lot of articles on Steemit about how people have had success on this platform, I have decided that if I put in the work most days on Steemit, come November, SteemFest will be a practical investment for this Steemit minnow.
Not only is SteemFest a way to network with a ton of individuals who are prevalent on the Steemit interface, Cryto-Currency is new but very interesting to me and I want to learn more about these topics. I work in the Digital Media industry and I believe Crypto-Currency is the way of the future, people just need to be informed.
In order to reach my goal to get to Lisbon, Portugal this November I will need to incorporate time, effort and passion into my posts and comments and I plan on doing this by providing my followers with quality content that doesn't just clog your feed. My ultimate goal will be to make my round trip to SteemFest as inexpensive as possible using Steemit alone to gather funds.
Even if I do not reach my goal, I still will most likely be heading to Lisbon... Perhaps i'll meet a few WHALES out there!
