During our #promo-oxford stop off during the #steemitroadshow I had the pleasure of meeting @rea and talking as one does about all of our hopes and thoughts on steemit! I was talking about our activities associated with #promo-steem and #promo-uk and our philosophy on how whales could boost the steem price by being responsible.

Once I was finished speaking (or maybe ranting) @rea immediately said that I should present our activities at #steemfest and suggested contacting @roelandp to see if he would allow me some time on the stage at the #creamyanddelicious steemfest.

@joannaaxinte put together a great BLOG on this which included great collaborations from steemians from all over the UK

Promo-steem world wide

@stephenkendal and I worked together on leading by example and putting together a series of blogs on how we promote steemit, and the result was that others followed from all over the world

The #promo-uk team now use the #promo-steem tag to upvote great steemians from all over the world on a daily basis who are working tirelessly to promote steemit in their loacal communities. HERE, HERE and HERE are some blogs from great promo steemians who we use our steem power to support

Bringing New Investors into Steemit - London Investors Show

@ashley-peat managed to get us 45 minutes on the stage at the London Investors Show on 20th October SEE HERE and HEREin which @stephenkendal, @anarcotech and myself will present steemit and an investment case as 3 users of the platform to an audience of serious investors in one of the most prestigious Investment shows in the UK. This will be followed by a meet up kindly organised by the lovely @allasyummyfood HERE

Responsible use of Steem Power

We also follow a policy for spreading our voting power responsibly and have developed a philosophy on how we would like to behave as people with reasonable influence and a decent amount of steem power on the platform. We hope to lead by example and encourage other steemians to behave responsibly with their steem in a similar way to us so as to encourage an increase in the steem price and hopefully move away from some of the irrational profit taking that has been going on.

A question for @roelandp

I will be at #steemfest with @ashley-peat and @tomasgeorge from the #promo-uk team and we were hoping you could find a few minutes to allow us to present our experiences and ideas on how we have positively influenced so many people on the platform and how we will use steemit going forwards in the hope that it will inspire other steemians to take up their own initiatives in this way and also hoping that it will give whales an example of how to use their steem power responsibly
