So about ten minutes ago i decided to jump on in front of a room of people interested in this hackathon and asked a question, seems like the room has about 5 backend developers (at least those that put their hands up) and a bunch of UX designers, a room full of people interested in hacking the steemit blockchain but not many people really able to ready up, get into groups and get something done - or at least it kinda felt that way, another time where I guess you have to be tuned into a different developer mindset.

I brought up and mentioned my ideas for three applications (web applications) for past, present and future - the one i wanted to focus on was legacy, storing things i had posted in a nicer format, standalone html files or whatever that are stored securely as a remote location (could be 3 locations for enterprise quality cloud storage) and maybe then think about partnering with Dashlane so those things can be released after I’m gone.

i really feel the faster we go forward we communicate on platforms where the legacy is’nt left behind like we used to with physical photo albums. I want my daughter to understand where my head was at, what i was thinking about, how i was resolving things. It’s a very simple app, not many moving parts really and certainly not developer kudos or ground breaking anything but still a valuable thing that i want to work on — i want to know when I’m gone that my daughter can get to those diary entries.

so, anyway. I’ve realized I gotta do this myself. I kinda knew that anyway before but you know you have to stand up in front of the audience and sound it out, you have to hear ya self say it, you have to do what you are compelled to do, this is my activation stage, i need to learn a language, take what’s already pre written and built that MVP and use it myself. I know lots of people are waiting in the wings about crypto and they don’t have a reason to utilize the ecosystem without being in some way paranoid about it.

Putting together applications that humanize and move away from the technology or the blockchain but instead show taking a technology and rolling it into a usefulness set of web apps that help me settle my brain regarding the past, the current day and the way we can shape and change my future. I’ve just gotta get into the maker head phase while still bringing money, sometimes you just gotta level up and take that time out to make.

Ok, gonna ask a few questions. I’ll be back, enjoy the photos! :)

Thanks for posting that.
At the moment Steem seems like a bottomless pit into which we throw everything, rarely if every to be found again, despite being "blockchained"

We need "indexes" or "contents" or filters or some such thing.
And my view the sooner those "tags" are put with the data the easier it will be to sort later. right now in some ways the 'pit" of data is maybe a "messy pile" ...

Yeah i totally agree. Maybe something with come of this event, i’m Hoping so anyway!

Absolutely great idea. Yes the info is on the blockchain but accessibility is a issue. Maybe something like a viewer you can zoom back to a year month day.
