I'm a brand new Steemian so I'm not sure yet about the jargon and whether that even makes me a minnow! However my first posts strangely enough concern my travels in Portugal, and now I've discovered SteemFest will be in Lisbon - karma? For the winners of your contest, or anyone else travelling to Lisbon, my posts might not be specific enough about the city, but they will provide some general information, for example about language or train travel, and who knows may encourage some SteemFest participants to travel to other parts of Portugal. Good luck with your contest and with SteemFest!

This is one of the best initiatives that i have ever encountered, reading the script even gave me goosebumps. I see your initiative @stellabelle as a motivation for people who motivates other people, God bless you but its rather unfortunate that we cant follow your criteria for some us to qualify for this trip but we will try and change the world as much as we can in our own simple way and i know that one day i would make enough to be able to qualify for these criteria

I am not here to enter the competition, but would love to see a winner who's life could be changed by this. Ideally someone who doesn't have the funds to go to Lisbon and by going now gets the change to learn how Steemit works and then will be able to grow a sustainable income on Steemit. Great initiative @stellabelle

What is your current definition of "minnow"?

Is 1.000SP too much to be a minnow?
Or is it 10,000SP or any other number of Steem Powers?

1 million vests is a little more than 2,000 SP.
Do you mean that anybody with less than 2,000 SP is not a minnow? Not in my book.

Yes, you are correct. For some reason I made an incorrect division (1,000,000 / 483.5).

So, minnow is between 1M and 10M vests and plankton is below 1M vests.

I doubt that @stellabelle wants to prevent people with less than 1M vest to participate in the contest.

Thanks @preparedwombat, I learnt a new word today. I never knew I was a Plankton. I thought that if I ain't a whale or a dolphin then I must be a minnow. But whatever is the case none of us are either a man or a woman which is another condition to participate here. And why would all these fishes would like to travel that far in some small tank risking their life is beyond my understanding. 😅

I would recommend that we have more categories than just whale and minnow. I suggested maxnow but it sounds a bit weird. Maybe for now we can just go with your average value of your posts after about 5 hours: minnow less than 2 USD, small fish 2-7 USD, big fish 7-20 USD, baby whale20 - 50 USD, whale 50 USD and more

Stella, this is a good contest concept and while I don't intend to enter myself, I have to pose this question: what should one do if they are neither man nor woman? I know you of all people don't intend to exclude anyone intentionally, but for intersex people or people who don't identify with man/woman gender identity, this may unfortunately have the effect of exclusion.

If you are intersex or don't identify as either male or female, just choose one category arbitrarily. This is not meant to be exclusionary, on the contrary, it was meant to include everyone.

We have come a long way in recognition and respect for diversity of sexuality. We are only beginning to recognise how marginalised some people live because of something so many of us take for granted. Gender. Great inclusion, a small gesture of validation. You rock.

It says it's on 1,2,3 with 4 and 5 in brackets, what does that mean , lol ?
I would love to go, Lisbon and Barcelona are my top 2 next to visit destinations, and I could maybe take advantage of this and join you guys, even though I am super new and unknown .
I will have to see how my business is going in the next 1-2 months and make up my mind by mid september . Do you think it will be too late? Is there a max nr of tickets for the fest?
