We are glad to report that the pilot post has paid out! We have awarded @troglodactyl 20.371 SBD valued at approximately $126.91 USD for the downvote services rendered to the Steem community . Kudos for that!

Also, I wanted to take a moment and thank all that have helped with upvotes and resteems. You, indeed, are the backbone of this effort and what you do is far reaching!

SFR Activity Report

Python Scripting Status: Degraded.

After the recent Steem API endpoint changes, it seems that the Steem Piston library has ceased to function. It uses websockets to interface rather than http/jsonrpc which is the likely cause. Here is one of the errors I receive.

In the library, there is a file named "steemnoderpc.py". It's the Python Script used for websocket communication. I will be making a reasonable attempt to replace this with a http/jsonrpc client script but, worse come to worse, I'll just modify the rewards script which is only a minor setback. In case you were wondering, that is why we do not have data today.

class SteemNodeRPC(GrapheneWebsocketRPC):
    """ This class allows to call API methods synchronously, without
        callbacks. It logs in and registers to the APIs:

        * database
        * history

        :param str urls: Either a single Websocket URL, or a list of URLs

By design, the Flag Rewards Program Python script has a dependency on Piston's get_post function but will work on finding the alternative with working Steem-Python libraries.

Thanks again for jumping in on this, I really appreciate the efforts to get organized and incentivized about managing platform abuse.

Not a problem. Glad to help!

Would love if you dropped by the Discord sometime. There is a War Room Channel to discuss upcoming strategies and trending activity. Think I've got my eye on something big but not sure yet.

Thanks so much . you have enlighten many of us. bravo!!

I'm more concerned with trying to understand how taking advantage of the reward pool is different for a self upvoter. I'm still under the impression that the more everyone participates the more we earn Steem.

Why isn't self voting a disqualification for jurors?

By the way, Blockedtrades, and one of your jurors is already a self up voter.

Dear @trump3t, help us please.

I don't think the two are necessarily the same and would be glad to discuss on Discord. We haven't officially established a juror process but that is certainly on the to do list to include qualifications.

I think one criteria is the juror must demonstrate the capacity to use flags appropriately. This will help develop trust and confidence in the community.
