You can use a, Baking dish or Loaf pan or Casserole
Step 1.
1 loaf of brioche or challah sliced 1.5 inches
Step 2.
4 eggs
2 cups half and half
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
Whip eggs and both sugars until very thick and white
Add half and half and rest of ingredients combine very well
Step 3.
Topping
Two tablespoons butter melted
Two tablespoons light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
Mix very well sprinkle over casserole
Step 4.
Butter baking dish
Step 5.
Fold brioche with custard, sprinkle topping chill 4 hours or overnight
step 6.
Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour. Checking each time until
A tooth pick comes out clean.
Step 7.
Dust withPowdered sugar
Step 8.
Maple syrup
